Northwestern Huskies season comes to an end. 💙⚾

The Huskies fell to Waynedale tonight, 5-1 in the District Semifinals.

On the mound for the Huskies:
⚾ David McIe — 2.2 innings, 4 hits, 2 earned runs
⚾ Keaton Harris — 3.1 innings, 1 hit, 1 earned run

The Huskies struggled to get the bats going, collecting just three hits on the night:
⚾ David McIe — 2 hits and a sac fly
⚾ Landon Ellerbrock — 1 hit

While the season may be over, the memories, friendships, and lessons learned will last forever. This group battled all season long and represented Northwestern Baseball with pride every single day.

To our seniors — thank you for everything you gave to this program over the years. Your leadership, dedication, and love for Husky Baseball will never be forgotten. We wish you nothing but success in whatever comes next.

And for the returning Huskies… the offseason starts now. Time to get stronger, work harder, and prepare for an even better season ahead. The future is bright.

We are so proud of each of you and all that you’ve accomplished both on and off the field. Thank you for your leadership, dedication, and the countless memories you’ve given Northwestern Baseball over the years.

Keaton Harris launched his SECOND 💣 of the season yesterday at Wickliffe!!

Harris absolutely sent one into orbit for a 2-run homer in the first inning, helping spark a HUGE 6-run inning for the Huskies! ⚾🔥

The Huskies are moving on after a HUGE 7-2 win over Wickliffe in the Sectional Finals tonight!!!

The dynamic pitching duo of David McIe and Grady Ellerbrock delivered once again!
🔥 David McIe — 4 1/3 innings, 3 hits, 0 earned runs
🔥 Grady Ellerbrock — 2 2/3 innings, 2 hits, 0 earned runs in relief to secure the win

The Husky defense stepped up all night long, backing their pitchers with key plays all over the field! 🧤

Offensively, the Huskies got the bats rolling with contributions throughout the lineup:
💣 Keaton Harris launched a 2-run HOME RUN in the first inning
⚾ James Cassady collected two hits, including a 2-RBI double in the first
⚾ David McIe
⚾ Corbin Chanay
⚾ Grady Ellerbrock
⚾ Grayson Rapp
⚾ Landon Ellerbrock
all added hits for the Huskies!

The Huskies were also aggressive on the bases tonight with stolen bases from:

Pitching for the Huskies tonight:
⚾ Keaton Harris – 2 innings, 0 earned runs
⚾ Grady Ellerbrock – 2 innings, 1 earned run
⚾ Cohen Kurtz – 1 inning, 3 earned runs
⚾ Hayden Sigler – 2 innings, 1 earned run

Offensively, the Huskies were limited to two hits on the night, coming from James Cassady and Landon Ellerbrock.

The Huskies now turn their focus to tournament play as they travel to Wickliffe on Friday for the Sectional Final.
