The West Point Paintball team must unfortunately announce that we are not holding a Combat Classic this Spring. Over the last month, the Cadets have worked on finding a date that will fit into our demanding training schedule. However, we are unable to run the Combat Classic this Spring due to conflicting training events.

The team greatly appreciates all of the support this year. We are dedicated to providing quality Combat Classics to the public and will continue these events for years to come.

We were very happy to place second at the Baltimore Paintball League this weekend. We’ll be back some day for first! Big thanks to everyone at The Baltimore Paintball League for putting on a great event with great staff. Shoutout to Coach Scott Caputo for always getting us right!

Bottom Line Up Front: Due to issues at the installation (USMA), unit (United States Corps of Cadets), and club level, we must regrettably cancel this year’s Fall Combat Classic.

Details: During the planning of the Combat Classic, it became obvious very early that we could not use the usual facilities at Lake Frederick due to scheduling conflicts at the USMA level. We tried to rearrange things to make it work, but it was not possible.

Unfortunately, these efforts took longer than anticipated, resulting in a very late release of information about the Classic. This put our Generals in a difficult position. Not only did they have limited time to recruit players, but they were recruiting for a Classic that was not up to the standard we or our players have come to expect. The result was historically low pre-registration numbers.

Another compounding problem was the mandatory military training for the team scheduled for 28 September. As of this posting, USCC has not approved our team members to miss those events in order to host the Combat Classic. Without our team, the Combat Classic could not happen. This is not a fault of USCC, as their main priority is ensuring our team members are trained and ready for their next job. It is just a detail that we have yet to resolve.

Those that paid for registration and paint through the Team’s website will receive a full refund. In addition, those who preregistered as of 1900 on 17 September will receive 50% percent off of registration for the Spring Classic.

Ultimately, our team accepts full responsibility for our inability to make this event happen. We have dedicated ourselves to making the Spring Combat Classic the best one yet. Expect an announcement once we identify the date and secure Lake Frederick. We hope to see you in the Spring!

Hey everyone, its Cadet Andrew Rivera, and I'm a Firstie (senior) here at the academy. I'm one of the guys working with Calvin to run this page. Over the course of my three years here at West Point I've been a part of a lot of squads from summer training details, to the team. So, seeing all the squads you all bring out to the Classic fires me up. Hope to see you all soon!

Go ahead and register, and of course, bring out a bad-bad squad and do some things on the battlefield

Hello all,
My name is Cadet Nathaniel Peek. I am from Rowlett, Texas (Just outside of Dallas) and am currently a Cow (Junior) at West Point. I recently joined the West Point Paintball team where I work in the S4 shop (logistics) helping make sure the team has what it needs to succeed. I joined the paintball team because I wanted something fast-paced and active- plus paintball is a great way to blow off some steam after a long week of nuclear engineering homework. Our team is close-knit, passionate, professional, and has been working non-stop on this year’s Combat Classic. We can’t wait to see you on the battlefield in a few weeks.

The Combat Classic is on at Lake Frederick!

Space to set up tents and camping equipment will be available at the locations on the map as shown, however, due to conflicting events at Lake Frederick, the team is unable to offer use any part of the facilities at Lake Frederick or cabins, but we will be using the same field as always.

If you would like to book a campsite or cabin at Lake Frederick you can do so through MWR at https://westpoint.armymwr.com/programs/lake-frederick-recreation-area. (If you choose to do this we will compensate you for your registration)

This year we are featuring new and exciting game modes that will add a more in-depth and interactive game experience for all players. Register today at https://www.active.com/highland-mills-ny/paintball/paintball-tournaments/west-point-combat-classic-fall-2019 !
