The Richards Shootout had a great turnout! Special thanks to the schools that participated as well as all the parents and athletes that took time to get the kids here to work and compete!

Very proud of our Lady Rockets performance at the shootout! They ended with a 45-27 win over Junction Hill, a 24-28 loss to Fairview, and a 24-18 win over Howell Valley. Next season looks very bright for our girls!

We were also able to pull together a B team to play in a last minute game, they hadn’t been able to practice with us but they worked their tails off and I can’t wait to work with them more next year!

Kids 5 and under free

There will be concession available.

PLEASE NOTE - the date for the girls shootout has been moved to Wednesday instead of Thursday next week! We will only have one team participating in this event. Athletes should wear black athletic shorts and will receive a jersey the day of the shootout. Please have the girls at Richard’s no later than 10:00.
We also need girls to help with the boys shootout on Tuesday, June 2nd. If parents could drop them off at 8:30, we have plenty for them to do! The boys will return the favor during our shootout.

‼️Girls wanting to participate in the shootout next week MUST come to these practices! Right now we will only run one team at the shootout due to so many girls being gone, but if we have enough for a B team then we will play two teams. Information for the shootout will be shared soon. 🥎 Practices for softball will begin in August. Students in grades 5th-8th are allowed to participate. Please let Coach Liv know if you cannot make it to any of the practices. 🥎

🏀Summer Basketball Schedule🏀
Any upcoming 5-8th grade girl interested in playing basketball may participate in our summer practices! Students do not have to attend summer school to come to the practices, but we have a lot of fun trips planned! 😊 Please let Coach Parker know if you cannot make it to the practices.

Track season officially wrapped up today. We had a great season with several girls trying new events and being really successful! Our 7/8 grade improved at each meet and scored more points in conference than they have in the last three years. Our 4/5/6 grade learned so much this season and earned a second place finish in conference today.

Lucy Finke earned all conference and also won the 1600 race with a PR on Friday.

Oakley Watkins won 1st in the 100, 200, and 4x100 relay

Kinsley Woods won 1st in high jump and 4x100 relay

Brooklyn Guy and Enola Biring were also part of the 1st place 4x100 relay.

Events for the week:

Monday- 5/6 grade conference meet at 9

Tuesday- bring back sports physical forms to Nurse Jordan

Thursday- athletic awards at 2:00 for 1st-4th cross country road racers, peewee teams, and c team volleyball players.

Athletic banquet at 6:00 for A and B teams, divisional cross country racers, and track athletes. We are asking female athletes to bring store bought desserts (cookies, cupcakes, etc.) for this event. Pizza and drinks will be served for athletes and family members.

Today’s results!! Congratulations to Lucy for earning All Conference honors. We had so many girls PR today in different events. Can’t wait for Monday when it’s the 5th and 6th grades turn.
