Sometimes it takes going back in the same day and doing the same workout again later in the day to actually lift more the second time around. I’ve done that at least three times as of today. I went early in the morning to do chest, I felt so half assed and sore that I didn’t even feel comfortable going past 315lbs on the flat for as many reps as normal. Went back in the evening, not only did I bench 315lbs in my first set of 315lbs for more reps than earlier today before going on to 365lbs, and then 385lbs…but I did the 365lbs and 385lbs with such ease that I felt like I could have hit 405lbs again for the 4th time in a span of less than 30 days total.
