One clean catch in the keys 17" mangrove snapper. Gotta love that Florida bite.

started the day with a solid 16” mangrove snapper right at the end of the outgoing tide

Then the bite completely died…

Incoming tide was slow — just a porgy, jacks, and grunts — but things got interesting when I hooked into a 5–6 ft nurse shark from the kayak 😳

Crazy how fast things change out there.

Thought I had dinner… but the ocean had other plans

Caught this beautiful keeper hogfish in the Keys last week 🔥
Perfect size… perfect conditions… everything lined up.

Only problem? Season was CLOSED

Had to send her back to grow bigger—but man, what a fish.
