Player Spotlight: Welcome Back, Madalyn Summerfield! 🥎🔥

We’re excited to welcome back #4, Madalyn “Mady” Summerfield! Mady is a returning player from last season and is back for another year of softball, hard work, laughs, and hopefully a whole lot of improvement at the plate! 🥎🔥

Mady is a Baldwin High School student and part of the Class of 2030. She’s ready to build on last season and continue growing as a player.
And softball isn't the only sport keeping her busy—Mady also plays basketball.

When she’s not on a softball or basketball court, you can find her baking and reading.
So she can either feed the team or disappear into a book. 🍪📚

Mady’s goals for this season are to improve her hitting and get stronger on the field—both physically and mentally.

That’s the kind of growth we love to see! 💪🔥

It's not just about getting better with the bat or making plays in the field. It's about becoming a stronger, more confident player who can handle whatever the game throws her way.

And as a returning player, Mady already knows what it takes to put in the work. Now it's time to take that next step! 🚀

Player Spotlight: Welcome Back, Ella Kienzl! 🥎🔥

We’re excited to welcome back #2, Ella “Ell”/ “Ell Bell” Kienzl!

Ella is a returning player from Brentwood High School and is part of the Class of 2030. She’s bringing her softball skills, her creativity, and apparently enough activities to keep her calendar permanently booked! 😂🥎

🎨⛳🎺 MORE THAN JUST SOFTBALL
When Ella isn’t on the softball field, you might find her playing golf, marching in the band, playing jazz, hanging out with Girl Scouts, or working on her latest painting or drawing.

So basically… softball coach: “Ella, what are you doing this weekend?”

Ella: “Which weekend?” 😂

At this point, we’re not sure if she has free time or if “free time” is just something she’s heard about. 😂

🎨 THE ARTIST
Ella enjoys painting and drawing, so we’re expecting some serious creativity from #2.

Whether she’s creating a masterpiece on canvas or painting the corners of the strike zone… we’ll take it! 🎨🥎

Although we may want to keep the permanent markers away from the dugout. 👀😂

At this point, the mascot race has officially become a vegetable—or technically, a fruit—debate, and we’re not sure how we got here. 😂🥒

Ella’s goal for the season is exactly what we want to hear:

Player Spotlight: Welcome to the Team, Maya Moser! 🥎🔥

Some players arrive with a nickname already locked in… and then there’s Maya Moser, who basically said, “None yet… but the year is just starting.” 👀😂

We’re excited to welcome #00, Maya Moser! Maya joins us from Seton LaSalle and is part of the Class of 2029. She’s ready to bring the energy, work hard, have some fun, and hopefully give the team plenty of opportunities to come up with a nickname that sticks! 😂🥎

📚🥎 Welcome to the Team
Maya is also involved in cheer, which means she already knows a thing or two about energy, teamwork, and performing under pressure.

And considering she’s also a softball player, we’re thinking she may have just joined a team where cheering after a big hit is basically mandatory. 😂📣

🏂❄️ Life Outside the Field
When Maya isn’t playing softball or cheering, she enjoys snowboarding.

So she’s apparently comfortable flying down mountains at high speeds… which makes us feel pretty good about her future on the basepaths. 😂

We’re just hoping she knows that softball bases are stationary and don’t require a snowboard to get around them. 😂🥎

Maya’s hidden talent is tumbling!

Which means she can flip, twist, tumble, and generally do things that would make the rest of us immediately need an ice pack. 😂

Between cheer, tumbling, snowboarding, and softball, Maya has apparently decided that staying safely on the ground is overrated. 😂

Player Spotlight: Welcome to the Team, Baylee Lauterbach! 🥎🔥

Some players bring a bat. Some bring a glove. Some bring years of experience.
And then there’s Baylee Lauterbach, who is apparently here to hit softball, bake delicious things, read books, and absolutely destroy everyone at Guitar Hero. 😂🎸

We’re excited to welcome #5, Baylee “Bay” Lauterbach! Baylee joins us from Brentwood and is part of the Class of 2029. She’s ready to improve her game, make some new friends, have some fun, and hopefully make some noise at the plate! 🥎🔥

📚🥎 More Than Softball
When Baylee isn’t on the softball field, she’s also involved in golf.

Because apparently one sport involving hitting things isn't enough. 😂

And when she’s not playing softball or golf, you might find her reading or baking.

We’re excited to welcome back #11, Payton “P” Cousins! Payton is a returning player from last season and is back for another year of softball, laughs, hard work, and hopefully a few more reasons for us to brag about her! 🥎🔥

When asked about other sports and activities, Payton made it very clear that she has one true love: softball.

Gabby is a Riverview student in the Class of 2029 and is ready to build on what she started last season.

And softball isn't the only thing keeping her busy. Gabby is also involved in basketball and student council.

We’re excited to welcome #14, Mackenzie “Kenzie/Mac” Matthews! Mackenzie joins us from Southmoreland and is part of the Class of 2030. She’s ready to bring the energy, compete, learn, and help turn this team into one that makes opponents check the schedule and say, “Wait… we play THEM today?” 😂🥎

When Mackenzie isn’t on the softball field, you can find her playing volleyball.
Because apparently one sport just wasn’t enough. 😂

And when she’s not playing either sport, she enjoys riding her side-by-side, swimming, and hanging out with friends.

Basically, if it involves moving, having fun, or potentially getting a little muddy… Kenzie is probably interested. 😂

Player Spotlight: Welcome to the Team, Addy Gouza! 🥎🔥

Some players show up with a long list of sports, hobbies, and talents… and then there’s Addy Gouza, whose answer to “Other Sports/Activities” was simply:
ZILCH. 😂

But don’t let that fool you! We’re excited to welcome #24, Addy “Gouzie” Gouza! Addy joins us from Burrell and is part of the Class of 2029. She’s ready to work hard, have some fun, and chase down some BIG goals this season! 🥎🔥

🚒🥎 More Than Just Softball
While softball is clearly taking up a good chunk of Addy’s schedule, she’s also a Junior Fire Fighter for Arnold. 🚒

So basically, when she’s not trying to catch screwballs, curveballs and one's in the dirt, she’s learning how to handle actual emergencies.

Which means if the dugout catches fire after somebody hits a bomb… we know exactly who to call. 😂🔥

🎤 The Singing Situation
Addy’s hidden talent is that she can “kinda-sorta sing.”

We’re not exactly sure what qualifies as “kinda-sorta,” but we’re willing to give her the stage and let the team decide. 😂🎤

Just a heads up, Addy: karaoke may now be considered an official team activity.

Between the softball, the fire-fighting, the kinda-sorta singing, the Zach Bryan soundtrack, the Grey’s Anatomy knowledge, the mind-reading abilities, and one very spoiled-looking cat… we have a feeling Gouzie is going to fit right in! 😂🔥

Player Spotlight: Welcome to the Team, Olivia Lander! 🥎🔥

We’re excited to welcome #15, Olivia “Liv” Lander! Liv joins us from Baldwin and is part of the Class of 2028. She’s ready to bring the energy, have some fun, and continue growing as a player this season! 🥎🔥

📚🥎 Welcome to the Team
Liv’s goal this season is simple: grow as a player.
And we’re ready to help her do exactly that! She’s joining a team where there will be plenty of opportunities to learn, compete, improve, and make some great memories along the way.

As for other sports and activities?
“Still discovering, check back later.”

Honestly, we appreciate the honesty. 😂

We’ll check back with her around midseason to see if she’s figured it out yet!

👯‍♀️ Liv Outside the Field
When Liv isn’t on the softball field, she enjoys hanging out with friends.

Which is probably a good thing because we’re pretty sure “hanging out with friends” is going to become “hanging out with teammates” before she knows it! 😂

⛸️ The Hidden Talent
Liv has a pretty cool hidden talent—she’s good at ice skating! ⛸️

That means she already has balance, coordination, and the ability to move quickly without falling over.

Now we just need to convince her that sliding into second base is basically just ice skating without the ice. 😂🥎

🎶📺 Music & TV
Liv’s favorite artist is SZA, her favorite song is Good Days, and her favorite TV show is Friends.
So she’s bringing the SZA playlist, the Friends references, and hopefully enough Chandler-level sarcasm to keep the dugout entertained. 😂

🦸‍♀️✈️ Superpower: FLIGHT
If Liv could have any superpower, she’d choose the ability to fly.

And honestly, we can see the advantages already.
Need to get to practice? Fly.
Running late? Fly.
Tournament traffic? FLY OVER IT. 😂

And when a ball is hit deep to the outfield, we’re expecting #15 to activate superhero mode and take care of business. 🦸‍♀️🥎

🐬 THE DOLPHIN HAS ENTERED THE CHAT
And now for the most important question…

What should the team mascot be?

Liv’s answer: DOLPHIN. 🐬

We’re starting to notice a trend here…
Apparently, the dolphin has officially become a serious contender for team mascot.

At this rate, we may need to order a dolphin costume before the season even starts. 😂🐬

🚀 Looking Ahead
Liv is ready to grow as a player, work hard, have fun, and help make this team better.

We’re excited to see what #15 brings to the field this season.

We know she’ll bring the hustle, the laughs, the ice-skating skills, the SZA soundtrack, the Friends energy, and—of course—the dolphin vibes. 🐬🔥
