Good evening Ridgewood Biddy Program!

I wanted to take a quick moment to update everyone as the season comes to a close with just a few tournaments left! It was a very exciting and awesome year for all of those involved with the program. From friendly games against each other in November, to our Little Dribblers showing what they are made of, and our league teams that just finished up the league play!

We are trying to make every moment these young Generals step into the court a memory they will cherish forever. I know we will as Parents/Coaches. that doesn’t go without saying we know we still have room to improve the program! So please do me a favor and gather a few thoughts, Pros/Cons and send me a private message or a text with ways you wish our program would get better. Whether that’s practice schedule/times/frequency, t-shirts/jerseys/shooting shirts, plays/playing time, nothing is too small to reach out about so we can get better.

Would love to hear your thoughts in a constructive way, instead of just complaining. (I will take those too) but would love to take note of our shortfalls so we can improve this program every year.

Also would love to do some shout outs and start posting some of the hard work of our players.

So please feel free to post some of your best action shots in the comments and I will reshare/post to give credit where credit is due.

What an exciting day for our Biddy Generals Program.

Started off the morning with our 6th grade beat newcomerstown 34-8

Our 5th grade team continued their undefeated start to the season beating newcomerstown 31-9

Our 4th grade team started their season against coshocton and Riverview to go 2-0 on the day. (I will updated when/if I get scores)

Our 3rd grade had a hard fought first game winning 14-13 and winning with a larger margin 12-4 in the double header versus Riverview

Wanted to say thank you all for the support and dedication to start this season.

Our Ridgewood 5th grade team got off to a great start today taking down Garaway 28-14 with some great teamwork and man were they looking sharp in those flashy jerseys. Please share any pictures you have in the comments and show off the boys hard work!!

Our 6th grade team went tooth and nail against our neighbors, the Redskins, and fell a little short 24-22. Hard work and determination was not lacking, but we’ll get back at it next week!!

Thank you all for following and supporting the future of the program. Show them some love and show up and support the next Saturday morning at Coshocton!

Good evening everyone!!

We hope you are excited about tomorrow the same way we are. There is probably a few questions “passing” around in your head. So here are a couple things about tomorrow

1. Please arrive no more than 15 minutes early to allow for organization and set up.

2. What to wear? We are hoping for our team shirts to be in but if not we will utilize “Pennie’s/jerseys” to wear over their outfits. So please try to wear black shorts and any combination of white/gray/black/orange shirts

3. What to expect? We are splitting into a few small teams and playing against ourselves in a game format. We will have 3rd grade on one end, and 4th grade on the other and play a few different games of around 6-7 (🙄🤣) minutes with breaks before they play again. We will finish a few minutes before 2 to highlight a few key points. (Same thing for 5/6th grade but at 3)

4. Where to go? The middle school gym. The bleachers will be pulled out allowing for seating on both sides. Please be respectful of the courts in regards to shoes and drinks on the way in and out.

5. Please bring your respect for each other and no talking down to any of the players/coaches/fans and show the kids why sportsmanship looks like at all levels. The only goal of tomorrow is exposure and development, “Not NCAA scholarships” That being said, please be supportive when they play hard and give grace when they struggle through their emotions

Our Ridgewood boys basketball apparel sales has begun. The link is below. The sales will be all online. With our football teams success and advancing in the playoffs it makes it easier for our boys so they do not have to collect forms and money at the high school Ievel. We will be sending home flyers with our biddy league players this week. We also encourage our little dribblers to help sell as well. Profits from our sales help fund every level of Ridgewood basketball. Thank you everyone for your support.

We are looking forward to getting started this weekend! Please share this page so everyone is in the know! This weekend’s plan is:

*3rd and 4th Grade Boys Registration and Practice*
10:45-11:00 Registration with Practice from 11:00-12:00
Please don’t arrive any earlier than 10:45 because players will not be allowed to shoot around and run. They will be sitting in the bleachers until exactly 11

*5th and 6th Grade Boys Registration and Practice*
11:45-12:00 Registration with Practice from 12:00-1:00
Please don’t arrive any earlier than 11:45 because players will not be allowed to shoot around and run. They will be sitting in the bleachers until exactly 12 and we will need to keep the gym organized and quiet during the prior practice.

We prefer the players be dropped off without parents staying around for practice simply to get the players used to focusing on the coaches guidance. However for this first one, if parents want to stick around we understand, but starting on Wednesday we ask all parents drop off and pick up their players.

All information will be stated to the players at every practice, and also posted here regularly. Coaches may also decide to use a separate platform for messaging parents that will be sent out shortly. Thank you all and looking forward to a great Biddy Season
