It was certainly an eventful day for us at the track yesterday! After breaking in a new set of tires during practice, we got our heat lineups where we were scheduled to start 6th in the 3rd heat. Through an exciting heat race, we finished 7th out of 9 cars, secure our spot in the feature. Back in the pits, Ed and crew reset the toe in, swapped front bumpers and got everything ready for the feature. After starting 17th, and staying mostly out of trouble, we came home in 17th and were able to drive the car back up on the trailer.

No video this week. Sam's b-day was yesterday and Mother's Day is today, so we're a little crazy with non-race activities.

A very Happy Mother's Day to all the race moms out there that let the husbands and kids race week in and week out with minimal complaints 😉 (I know they give you anxiety moms! Trust me I get it! -Sam)

We have an off weekend this Saturday so the car won't be at the track, but Sam will still be there pushing buttons for the broadcast on FloRacing!

Outstanding Open Practice! | Stat's Auto Vlog 86

Yesterday was the first day of open practice for the 2026 season out at Riverhead Raceway! The plan going in was for Ed to get comfortable in the car, and knock the rust off. That plan went out the window the second time Ed was out on the track where he blew his previous fast time out of the water by almost a full 0.2 seconds. The rest of the day proved that the lap was not just a fluke and Ed is ready to hit the ground at full throttle. Yesterday was a very good end to our racing at Riverhead Raceway for 2025. Ed qualified for the feature in his heat race and stayed on the lead lap for the entire feature, for a 20th place finish! It was a very successful day over all, even if Ed still likes to 4 wheel drift around the corners sometimes. Look out for the vlog on Wednesday going up at 5pm!
