Way back when it was just a little shack my dad helped run it. One of his jobs was to walk out on the ice to make sure it was thick enough for skaters. One year he got to the middle and crashed through. No skating that day.

Skating right after they flooded the ice. It was so smooth. Not being allowed to skate to the back of the pond because that was were the teenagers skated.
