Hip surgery is COMPLETE!!! 🦴✨ Now the healing begins!

Yesterday was hands down one of the most painful days of my life post-surgery….and yes, I’m including childbirth in that statement. 😳😂 But what a difference a day can make.

Today the pain is already a little less, I’m getting up and moving, and I even took my first little walk OUTSIDE! ☀️ One day at a time. One step at a time. Literally.

I’m incredibly grateful for my orthopedic team and for my family, friends and loved ones who have checked on me, brought food, helped with the kids, kept me company, made me laugh and reminded me that I don’t have to do any of this alone.

It truly takes a village. ❤️

For someone whose entire life and career revolves around movement, I know this recovery is going to require a different kind of strength — patience, rest, and allowing my body the time it needs to heal.

The new hip era has officially begun. 💪🏻🦴✨

Kinda chic to rest right now. 🤎

Life is pretty quiet over here. I’m resting, moving a little slower, spending time with the people I love, and getting ready for hip replacement surgery in a couple of weeks.

And I’m realizing that maybe I don’t need to be doing more right now.

Maybe the productive thing is resting when I’m in pain.
Maybe nothing needs to be optimized.
Maybe this is the season for less.

And honestly? Kinda chic. 😉

Let’s normalize rest. 🤍

Chronic pain is exhausting. Lately, I’m learning that sometimes the most productive thing I can do for my body is… nothing.

Rest isn’t giving up.
Rest isn’t being lazy.
Rest is part of the work.

Especially when your body is asking for it.

Today, I’m listening. 🤍

Pilates by day, polo by night. ✨

After a week of teaching, there’s nothing better than trading the studio for a summer evening with great friends.

A huge thank you to Kelly Schuchardt and Angelina Schuchardt for the invitation. It was so much fun sharing the night with my fitness wifey Darcy Pedersen . Good conversation, fresh air, beautiful horses, and lots of laughs. The Farmington Polo Club did not disappoint. Here’s to making time for movement, friendship, and a little fun. 🤍
