💙 When Grief Has No Goodbye 💙
One of the deepest forms of grief is mourning people who are still alive. The estrangement from an adult child and the absence of precious grandchildren can leave an ache that few people truly understand. There are no casseroles, no sympathy cards, and often very little support for this kind of loss. When family relationships become strained or unhealthy, it's easy to get caught in the cycle of asking, "What could I have done differently?"
While healthy self-reflection is important, carrying all the blame is not. Healing begins when you focus on what you can control:
✨ Allow yourself to grieve without guilt.
✨ Set healthy emotional boundaries.
✨ Let go of trying to force reconciliation.
✨ Invest in your own well-being and supportive relationships.
✨ Hold on to hope, but don't put your life on hold waiting for someone else's choices.
You can deeply love your child and grandchildren while also choosing peace for yourself.
If you're walking through the heartbreak of family estrangement, know this: Your story isn't over, and your worth isn't defined by someone else's ability to see it.
💕 You deserve healing. You deserve joy. And you deserve to keep living a full, meaningful life, even in the midst of unanswered prayers. Check out peggycoaching.com. My Empowered You program is designed to assist with challenging obstacles in life.
Hugs to you if you are going through this!

How to be more present and live in the moment
Living in the present is often easier said than done. Being fully in the moment can feel like an impossible luxury in our world of distractions. The constant notifications and allure of social media can make presence feel ever more challenging. However, by incorporating intentional practices into your day, you can live a life of intention, mindfulness, and presence, which will lead to a more fulfilling life.

Explore breathing exercises
Your breathing is a powerful anchor to the present moment. By focusing on the rhythm of your breath, you can divert your attention away from distracting thoughts. There are a multitude of breathing exercises and breathwork practices you can explore for different reasons like stress, focus, and anxiety.

Reduce screen time
The incessant notifications from our devices can often jerk us out of the present. By consciously reducing screen time, you create space to connect more deeply with yourself, your surroundings, and your loved ones. Designate specific times for screen use and savor the real world more fully.

Practice mindful movement
Physical activity is beneficial not just for our bodies but also for our minds. Whether it’s walking, running, dancing, or even weight training, find something that helps you feel grounded and centered. Being in tune with your body helps you experience every sensation.

Take up journaling
Writing down your thoughts, feelings and experiences can provide clarity and perspective. It’s a way to explore your inner world, express gratitude, and reflect on your life, helping you stay anchored in the now. My coaching program can help you with prompts for journaling.

Practice meditation
Meditation can transform your relationship with the present moment. By focusing on the breath and the body during your practice, you pull yourself out of the stress and worries about tomorrow and root yourself firmly into the present moment.

Try a grounding technique
A helpful technique to bring you back to the present moment is this 5-4-3-2-1 grounding exercise.
Take a moment to pause and name:
• 5 things you can see around you
• 4 things you can touch or feel
• 3 distinct sounds you can hear
• 2 things you can smell
• 1 thing you can taste.
This exercise anchors you in your surroundings, helping you to appreciate the present moment.

Spend time in nature
Spending time in nature can be incredibly grounding. If you live somewhere where you can take a walk in the park or a hike in the mountains, immerse yourself in nature and observe the sights, sounds, and smells around you, allowing them to anchor you to the moment. For many people this isn’t possible, but you can always connect with nature through visual imagery, or auditory connection.

Schedule creative time
Creative activities like painting, drawing, creating jewelry or music can be powerful in helping you experience and celebrate the present.

I hope this article is helpful for you and that your weekend is full of wonderful moments!

Happy Friday! During my certification journey, some of you have asked me, "What is a life coach and what do they do?" A life coach helps you identify goals, overcome obstacles, and holds you accountable for building small but lasting changes as you work toward your larger goal. We focus on your future and what you want from it. There are many different types of goals.... some want to reclaim their health, while others want to focus on their mindset, relationships, or even career changes but feel stuck.
🦋If you're ready for lasting change, take the first step by setting up your free consultation at PEGGYCOACHING.COM. I hope you have a wonderful weekend! 🌼🌼

Hello, wonderful people! I haven't been working much on my coaching business this year, as I took a detour and used my certifications to work part-time as a career coach at our local high school. It's been fun and it's been challenging, and most important to me - it's been so meaningful! And now that we are into the Summer Season, I want to ramp up my personal coaching business. I have so much new content and am actually going to add a new pillar option to my program that I think will benefit so many people. I'm excited to share that as soon as my website gets updated. I will also be posting new content on Fridays. I hope you'll join me! Please hit "Like" and follow this page - I'd certainly appreciate it! And stay tuned!
