Today, the Miami Valley Xpress said goodbye to 8U competition.

We wrapped up our final 8U tournament at the Lady Liberty Tournament in West Milton, Ohio, and what a way to finish!

In pool play, we went 2-0 with wins over the Miami Valley Legends (10-4) and Lady Venom (21-9). Those victories earned us the #1 seed heading into bracket play. We battled through a tough semifinal against the Miami Valley Legends once again, coming away with a 16-8 win to punch our ticket to the championship.

In the title game, we faced our friends from LoCo Aftershock. It was a hard-fought battle, but the girls finished strong, bringing home the championship with a 14-10 victory!

It was a bittersweet ending. As we move on from 8U, some important members of our team won’t be returning next season. We’re thankful we were able to finish this chapter on such a positive note, and we’ll miss the long tournament days and hot practices with this great group of kids!

9U, watch out, here we come!
