Such a busy and productive week week before spring break for the Fighting Tiger Band! This week we were able able to host Dr. Tyler Strickland and the UWA Wind Ensemble and they performed a wonderful concert for our band students! Then, both bands in our county performed a joint concert and all of the kids did a wonderful job with their awesome clinician Mrs Michelle McDonald And lastly, congratulations are in order for our 2026-2027 Drum Majors Charity Woods and Ryan Head! Great things are happening for the Fighting Tiger Band!!!

Both band programs in Bibb County will be holding an All-County honor band this Thursday at the Bibb county board of education auditorium. The concert for this event will begin at 6pm and is free to the public. Come out and support our music programs!

This is the last week for donut certificate/card orders. All orders are due by Friday, February 27. Students will have two days to turn their orders in. Kelly Johnston will be there Thursday, February 26 in the afternoon and Melissa Jones will be there Friday, February 27 to take up those orders.

Percussion Students from both WBHS and BCHS got together today for a masterclass on percussion fundamentals and playing techniques taught by BCHS director Damon Sweetin. Very informative and helpful! Its always great for the only two band programs in our district to have a good working relationship!

West Blocton Fighting Tiger Band Boosters Donut Fundraiser

The Band will be selling Krispy Kreme Certificates and BOGO cards until 02/27. Certificates and BOGO cards allow for redemption at any Krispy Kreme location. One dozen original glazed doughnuts and are $14.00 each and BOGO cards for a free dozen with the purchase of any dozen doughnuts up to 10 times are $24.00.
