Our Missouri Gators Mathews boys are starting to develop a little rivalry with Coach Blumeās Ringers-Nationals squad going back to our 8U days. Always fun to play these guys. After losing to them 10-8 in pool play of the GMB World Series just 10 days prior, our boys showed up on the mound last night and got the best of them with the score again being 10-8.
We are currently tied for 1st place in Chesterfieldās Select Silver League with 1 game to go. Letās finish this season strong! šŖ šā¾ļø
Missouri Gators Mathews 9U Defeat Ringers - National 9U On Multiple Hit Performance By Landon T

Landon T collected three hits in three at bats, as Missouri Gators Mathews 9U defeated Ringers - National 9U 10-8 on Monday at Chesterfield Valley Athletic Complex. Landon singled in the second inning, singled in the first inning, and singled in the sixth inning.
Missouri Gators Mathews 9U built a 6-run lead in the second inning and then held off Ringers - National 9U's charge. Ringers - National 9U closed the gap by scoring on a double, a walk, a single, and a single.
Missouri Gators Mathews 9U got on the board in the top of the first inning after Abel G singled up the middle, Will J grounded out, and Carter M grounded out, each scoring one run.
Missouri Gators Mathews 9U scored five runs on two hits in the top of the second inning. Landon singled, scoring two runs, Sam W grounded out, scoring two runs, and an error scored one run.
Ringers - National 9U scored five runs on five hits in the bottom of the second inning. Johnny H doubled, scoring two runs, Nolan E drew a walk, scoring one run, and Calvin C singled, scoring two runs.
Calvin singled down the right field line, which helped Ringers - National 9U tie the game at eight in the bottom of the fifth.
In the top of the sixth, Missouri Gators Mathews 9U broke up the tie when Henry B singled, scoring one run. Then a walk by Carter followed to extend the lead to 10-8.
Landon earned the win for Missouri Gators Mathews 9U. The southpaw gave up two hits and one run over one and two-thirds innings, striking out three and walking none. Henry stepped on the hill first for Missouri Gators Mathews 9U. The hurler allowed seven hits and seven runs over one and two-thirds innings, striking out two and walking three. Jack B led things off on the bump for Ringers - National 9U. The right-handed pitcher gave up two hits and three runs over one inning, striking out none and walking two. Roman T pitched two and one-third innings of scoreless ball for Missouri Gators Mathews 9U in relief. The pitcher surrendered three hits, striking out two and walking none.
Maverick H collected two hits for Missouri Gators Mathews 9U in three at bats. Carter paced Missouri Gators Mathews 9U with three walks. Overall, the team had patience at the plate, tallying 10 walks for the game. Landon, Maverick, Sam, Bryson L, and Henry each stole multiple bases for Missouri Gators Mathews 9U. Missouri Gators Mathews 9U ran wild on the base paths, collecting 15 stolen bases for the game. Missouri Gators Mathews 9U turned one double play in the game. Missouri Gators Mathews 9U were sure-handed in the field and didn't commit a single error. Abel had the most chances in the field with seven.
