Heads up!

This Wednesday, September 16th is Wellington Football & Cheer Giveback Day at Pizza Hut! 🍕

All day long, you can order from Wellington Pizza Hut and help support our program! When placing your order, simply mention Wellington Football & Cheer. (This applies to dine-in and carry-out orders only.) A percentage of qualifying orders will be donated back to our organization! 🙌🏼

The funds raised will help us with equipment upgrades and our end-of-year awards ceremony for our players and cheerleaders. 🏈📣

We’d LOVE for you to share this with your family, friends, coworkers, neighbors, and anyone else who might be interested in getting pizza on Wednesday! The more people who participate, the more we can raise for our kids! ❤️

Unfortunately, due to the extreme heat and, most importantly, the safety of our players, we have made the decision to cancel practice tonight. We’re just as disappointed as you are, but we want to make sure we’re putting the health and safety of our players first.

With Open House happening tonight, we’re unable to obtain the aux gym in the same way we were able to on Tuesday night. With the heat outside and no indoor option available, we feel this is the safest decision for our players.

We hope everyone has a great time at Open House tonight! Enjoy the evening, stay cool, and get plenty of rest because we’ll be ready to go HARD on Monday! 💪🏼🏈

Due to the current heat advisory and, most importantly, the safety of our players, practice will be canceled for tonight.

We will make a decision regarding Tuesday and Thursday practices as those days get closer. Please continue to keep an eye on this chat for any updates.

As always, please make sure your players are staying hydrated and drinking plenty of water.

Just a heads up that the Wellington Fire Department will be stopping by camp today to cool the kids down with some water activities toward the end of camp! 🚒💦

Please plan accordingly, as your athlete will likely be wet at pickup. You may want to bring a towel or have a change of clothes ready for the ride home.

We’re excited to end camp with some fun—thank you to the Wellington Fire Department for helping us beat the heat!

Due to the high heat index and out of an abundance of caution for the safety of our athletes, coaches, and families, Wellington Football & Cheer Camp is canceled for today.

We will evaluate conditions throughout the day and post an update this afternoon with what to expect for the remainder of the week.
