Thinking about a new saddle? Before you pull the trigger, we say there are 3 things you should always check first:
1. HOW IT FEELS
You should feel comfortable and balanced in the saddle. If it doesn’t feel right, it probably isn’t the right saddle for you.
2. STIRRUP LENGTH
Make sure you can get the stirrups where you need them for your riding. Your position matters just as much as the saddle itself.
3. THE RIGHT MODEL FOR YOUR DISCIPLINE
A cutting saddle, cowhorse saddle, reining saddle, and roping saddle are built with different purposes in mind. Make sure you’re choosing a saddle that fits the way you ride.
