You can't grow a business in isolation.

I've spent years telling clients that the thing holding them back usually isn't skill. It's that nobody around them can see what they're capable of, and they can't say it out loud themselves.

Turns out that applies to business owners too.

This week I signed on as a founding member at Ascend704 in Monroe - and yes, Live in Your Strengths has an office! That part still feels a little unreal.

But the office isn't the reason I joined.

Ascend704 is a room full of people building things. Founders, small business owners, professionals who are done working alone at their kitchen table. The kind of place where you walk down the hall with a problem and walk back with three people who've already solved it.

That's what I want for my own business. It's also, not coincidentally, exactly what I help teams build inside their own organizations - people who know what they bring, who know what everyone else brings, and who stop working like a group of strangers.

Growth is a team sport. Even when you're the whole team.

If you're building something in Union County and you're doing it alone - go look at Ascend704. Take the tour. I'll be the one in 114 starting in January!

I am so excited to bring Swim with Sarah into the summer 2027. I have absolutely loved coaching swim and your kids have come so far! *not posting kids pictures for crazy internet stalkers but if you are a client and want to share, would love it.

4 kids moved from Level 1 to Level 2 and earned personal best ribbons
10 kids learned to not hold their nose and breathe under water.
7 kids learned how to float and breathe safely.
All kids know how to jump into the water legs first and hop to safety.
2 kids can now do the breast stroke 1/2 length of the pool
3 kids can tread water for 30 seconds.
So many great goals!

My goal for all kids:
- love the water
- stay safe
- have fun

I have limited spots for 2027 so current clients go grab them and the calendar now open to new clients!

Jake’s a Junior. Moving Day! I thought year after year it would get easier to move him in and then head home. It’s not. I am so incredibly grateful and so blessed and at the same time I am so sad and my heart is splitting in two. His room is empty at home and I will miss just knowing he’s home. Even if I just see him 30 seconds a day.

Three reasons qualified people get skipped:
1. Resume reads like duties, not impact
2. Applying to roles that don't match your strengths
3. Resume and LinkedIn tell two different stories

Save this for your next application round. And if you want a second set of eyes — 25 years on the hiring side — that's what I'm here for.

You're not the problem.

The job search advice you keep hearing — apply to more, cast a wider net — isn't wrong.
It's incomplete.

More applications without a strategy just means more silence.

If you're in it right now: comment "STRATEGY" and I'll point you to where to start.

A résumé isn't an autobiography.
It's a positioning document.

The question isn't “What have I done?”

It's “Why should someone care about what I've done?”

It can completely change how you write your résumé and how a hiring manager sees you.

I've put together my Résumé Playbook to help you understand what hiring managers actually look for and how to position your experience so your résumé tells a stronger story.

Comment PLAYBOOK below and I'll send it your way.

Most young professionals are taught to start with the résumé.

What have you done?
What jobs have you had?
What skills can you list?

But after 25+ years in HR and recruiting, one thing I've learned is this:

Before you can communicate your value, you have to understand it.

What are you naturally good at?
What gives you energy?
How do you solve problems?
What kind of environment allows you to do your best work?

That's where real career clarity starts.

Comment DNA below and I'll send you more information about discovering your strengths.

NEW EPISODE OUT NOW 🎙️

We've been told confidence is something you either have or you don't.

But what if that's not true?

In this episode, Sarah Price and Dr. Molly Geil break down the science behind confidence—why high achievers second-guess themselves, what really happens in your brain under stress, and why "fake it till you make it" might be making it worse.

This is the confidence conversation every career-driven woman needs to hear.
