After lightning delays and rain delays, coming up 1 game short of the championship game... It gives us something to strive for the next time we step on the field.
While the outcome wasn't what we had hoped for, the bigger victory was watching these girls come together and play with heart, determination, sweat and tears! That means more than any ring ever could.
I absolutely loved seeing their energy, enthusiasm, and the way they competed until the very last out. We leave this tournament with our heads held high, knowing we have so much to build on. What an incredible experience it has been for this group-from both a player's and coach's perspective.
A huge shout-out to Drea for the inside-the-park home run...those wheels were flying! And to Jamira for launching one over the fence!
Thank you, girls, for an unforgettable extended weekend! Keep your heads up, keep believing in yourselves, and keep working... these girls have something special.
All glory to God for giving these young ladies the opportunity, the talent, and the love of this game.
