Our final outside workout of the 2026 year happened last night! One final scrimmage for the boys who don’t play a fall sport! We were lucky enough to have 10 fall workouts this year, and had great turnout at each one! Winter workouts will begin in November!

One of our biggest supporters every single game! Congrats Marcus!

⭐️Our October 16th Marcher of the Week is senior snare drummer Marcus Ward. We couldn’t imagine these past few years without him!⭐️

Marcus started his time with the Wauseon Marching Band as a band manager. Later he decided it was his turn to get on the field and found himself behind a snare drum.

Since then, Marcus has hardly put that drum down. His commitment, perseverance, and enthusiasm have made him an essential part of our band family. He shows up ready to be involved, works hard, and brings a positivity that makes the students (and directors) around him all the better.

Congratulations Marcus, you deserve every single bit of it!

Wauseon Baseball was manning (and womanning) the Football concessions last night! Thank you to our coaches and Sydney for taking the time to work the concessions last night!

What a day! We had our Fall Field Work Day today and got some serious work in! First up was getting our press box completely repainted. The difference in appearance speaks for itself! Next, we had to get our new double first base installed before the ground froze. Coach Klopfenstein knocked that project out of the park and we are ready to go for 2027! The biggest job of the day was done on the field! A couple of months back, we received a quote for removing the lips around the entire infield. Just to have these removed and the sod put back down would cost right around $10,000. We decided to tackle it ourselves and had 3 coaches plus 12 kids doing all of cutting and rolling up the sod, shoveling the lips out, and reapplying the sod. It took all of 4 hours and there is now maintenance that needs done throughout the rest of fall, but we are happy to say that all of the lips in the infield are gone! We are so grateful to all of the 16 kids who showed up and knocked these projects out today! Also a huge shoutout to our coaching staff who put a lot of time into our field, not just today but all the time! Proud to be an Indian!

Week 7 of our Fall workouts wrapped up today with a true team scrimmage. With the coaching limitations in the offseason, the boys split up into 2 teams and coached themselves! They got 4 innings in today and some valuable in game reps. Our 5 coaches on staff all got to take in the action and just watch the boys! Great week of work fellas!

Another busy weekend at the field! Edging of the infield took most of the weekend up, while completely revamping the home side bullpen took all of Friday! We continue to make small improvements that will add up to something really nice! Next weekend we will have our team wide Field Work Day, where we have some major improvements in store! Have a great week!

Another week of fall workouts are in the books! Monday was 20 kids and Wednesday was a record 21 kids who were there to get better! Proud of where our program is headed and can’t wait to get back out next week!

Another busy and productive fall weekend at the field by the coaching staff! Trying to prepare for winter is a lot of work, especially when we are still running workouts. Cleaned up the home side bleachers and power washed the home side dugout. Coach Kebschull came through with a Sunday evening mowing of the field, and we will be having workouts on both Monday and Wednesday! Have a great week Indians!

Building a successful program doesn’t happen during the Spring. For us, it happens in the fall, it happens in the winter. When nobody is there to watch and cheer. It happens with the youth and it happens at the High School level. Proud to have 19 kids at our Open Field Workouts tonight, getting better, little by little. Keep showing up for one another, keep showing up for the Program!

Throughout the summer, and into the start of the school year, we have been trying to keep up on the field and make little improvements as we go. Coach Kebschull has been busy over the last 2 weeks. Coach has gotten the entire field mowed the last 2 weeks, making sure our fall workouts can run properly. This weekend, Coach Kebschull did some edging on the 1st base line. Make sure you give Coach a big Thank You for all he does for the program!
