Another week is in the books, last weekend the Expendables took on the first two game weekend. Taking on JFD with a final score of 11-1 in favor of JFD. On Sunday they took on Marshfield with a final score of 9-3 in favor of Marshfield. On Saturday, a nail baiter between Fandrey and WAHL with a final score of 2-1 in favor of Fandrey who remains undefeated.

This weekend another three games take place with JFD playing on both Saturday and Sunday.

Another fun weekend of games in the books!

Fandrey Construction was able to steal a win from JFD No Dekes in the first shootout of the season after a 4 to 4 regulation finish. Big goal by Blake Raddatz in the shootout to get the win!

In the second game, Marshfield took down WAHL 6 to 3 with a dominant 3rd period finish.

A special thank you to Mike Stuermer for filling in at ref the second game, and a big thank you to JFD No Dekes and Fandrey Construction for tolerating Isaac's reffing debut with minimal complaints (although, Fandrey might need a refresher on what an offsides is).

Week three of the league takes place tomorrow afternoon!

First game between JFD No Dekes and Fandrey Construction starts at 4PM, followed by WAHL versus Marshfield at 5:30PM.

Unfortunately, one of our refs had to back out due to unforseen circumstances, so if anyone knows someone who wants to fill in as our second ref tomorrow, 50 dollars per game, please message Isaac Schiro.

With the first weekend of games coming to a close we wanted to post an update (we will make two posts a week, one before the weekend to remind everyone of the games of the upcoming weekend, and one after the weekend with any updates and to share how the games went).

Firstly, thank you everyone for a great weekend of games! They were fun to watch, and even more fun to play in! A special shout out to our refs this weekend, Jordan Krueger, Colin Helke, and Brandon Jilik, as well as all of the fans we had come to support the teams!

On Saturday, Fandrey Construction narrowly beat Marshfield 3 to 2, and on Sunday WAHL beat Expendables 5 to 2.

All stats and results are updated on the website, so make sure to check it out. A link to the website can be found within this page.

A quick update on the rules we wanted to share:

1: The door to the ice rink along the viewing rooms needs to be shut anytime someone is shooting on that end of the ice, so after you enter the ice, shut the door behind you, and the next person can open it and shut it behind them. If the viewing room glass breaks, we are liable to pay for it, so we would prefer to just take the precautions by shutting the door on that end of the ice after entering the ice.

2: A new rule has been added regarding delay of game: any intentional wasting of time by any team for any purpose (i.e. to maintain a lead) - due to the games being running time - will result in a delay of game penalty at the refs discretion (this includes but is not limited to: intentionally icing the puck repeatedly, slow line changes, slow approaches to face-offs, etc..).

3: Every team will be allowed one 30-second timeout per game to be used at any point by notifying the officials. The officials will stop the clock at the beginning of the timeout and resume it at the end of the timeout.

4: If two teams are tied in points at the end of the regular season, seeding will first be based on head-to-head results, then head-to-head goal differential, then season goal differential.

The opening day for the Wausau Adult Hockey League is finally here!

I hope everyone is as excited as we are!

If you aren't playing today, you are still invited to show up and watch your competition, and if you are playing, make sure you invite your family to come watch!

Dylan will be at the game today to collect any remaining waivers, hand out team stat sheets, answer any questions, and make sure things run smoothly. Locker rooms should be on the board (there will be 3 locker rooms, one for each team and one for the girls). Pucks will be provided. Dylan will be in the score booth today to help things along and be readily available for any issues. Please be understanding and patient for the first couple of weekends as things get settled in.

Reminder, teams are responsible for filling out stat sheets, getting them signed by both team captains, and sending a picture to Dylan by the end of the weekend. All 10 weeks of stat sheets will be handed out at your first game. If you lose them, you will be responsible for printing off new ones from the website.

Make sure anyone who has not signed a waiver brings a signed waiver to your games. No one will be allowed on the ice without a signed waiver.

Lastly, with games starting today, rosters are now locked and no more changes or additions will be allowed unless authorized by Dylan and Isaac.

This week is the week! Games start this weekend and we couldn’t be more excited. We have Fandrey taking on Marshfield on Saturday at 5:30 and WAHL versus The Expendables on Sunday at 9:30 am. JFD No Dekes is on a Bye to start the season.

Good afternoon everyone!

We are now 12 days away from our opening game between Fandrey Construction and Team Grosland on 5/16 at 5:30PM!

The schedules have been finalized and posted on the website (in each of the teams individual pages, and in the calendar section of the website). We tried our best to accommodate each team's needs, and we apologize if were unable to cover everything, but we worked with the ice and information we had.

As a reminder, if you have not given us your signed waiver yet, a PDF form can be found on the website and sent to us at: [email protected], or, a paper waiver can be handed in on the day of your first game, BUT, if we do not have your signed waiver, you will not be allowed to play.

One of us will be at each of the games at least the first few weekends. We will hand out 10 stat sheets to each of the team captains before your first game (you are responsible for keeping track of them and sending them to Dylan after your games. If you lose them, you will be responsible for printing off more from the website), and we will be available in case anyone has a paper waiver to turn in, or if anyone has any questions they need answered.

Quick update: schedules that are posted on the website are not the finalized schedule. They are very close to what the final schedules will be, but there still might be some changes. The final official schedule will be posted on May 2nd, so look for your teams exact dates and times you play on May 2nd!
