There is something really special about full circle moments in sports.

We have four Waukee Varsity boys swimmers stepping up to help coach our 8th grade boys this season, and I could not be more excited about it. These guys have put in the early mornings, the hard sets, the pressure races. They know what it takes. And now they are choosing to pour that back into the next group coming up.

That matters.

Our 8th graders are getting more than instruction on strokes and turns. They are getting mentors who have lived it. They are getting leaders who understand discipline, resilience, and what it means to represent Waukee with pride.

This is how you build a program. Not just fast swimmers, but strong young men who lift others up.

We are ready for this next wave. Let’s go, Waukee.
