The Massabesic Athletic Department is excited to announce Cory Woodsome as the next Head Varsity Football Coach!

Coach Woodsome brings a strong background in football and a passion for developing student-athletes both on and off the field. Most recently, he served as Head Coach at Kingswood High School in New Hampshire, where he demonstrated a strong commitment to mentoring student-athletes and emphasizing the values of teamwork, accountability, and sportsmanship. We are excited for Coach Woodsome to bring his energy, enthusiasm, and team-first mentality to Massabesic as we continue to build upon the strong tradition of Mustang football.

Huge shout out to all of our seniors who played their last high school football game last night. It’s been a journey, ups and downs, highs and lows. The game last night was a messy one, but our kids battled and the defense held up; some key plays at critical times were made! Hats off to the Sanford Spartans for playing a great game. Tomorrow, 10/24, is our Senior Night! Our Varsity team takes on the Red Riots of South Portland at 7p. Senior Night recognition begins at 625p. Come out and celebrate a great group of young men in their final game at Ronco Stadium! 🏈

What a week 3 for the program! Very proud to be a part of military appreciation week, Maine National Guard. Our varsity dug deep and battled. We had an electric 2nd half and figured some things out. Looking forward to building on the energy and effort. Our FT won, 30-6, and our JV rounds out the week tomorrow @ Noble, 4p. Freshmen travel to Leavitt Football this Thursday, 9/25, 430p. Varsity takes on the undefeated Kennebunk Rams at Kennebunk, on Saturday, 9/27, 1p!

What a great way to start the season! 26-6 over a tough Lewiston squad. It was a full team effort, 4 quarter battle. We are very proud of the players for digging deep and playing for one another. Awesome energy to kick start the 2025 season!
