A big shout out to Darrell Barton. Darrel is the Safety Team Leader for his church safety team AND is standing up a new, all volunteer safety team for the school at his church. I've had the privilege of helping train both his teams and in appreciation for that training Darrel purchased and donated this Challenge Targets AR500 Steel C-Zone Target and Stand to Roman Iron Tactical. LOCALLY RAISED BEEF. Well this doesn't happen often, but it did. We have a whole beef (in two halves) at the processor in Slaughterville and the "buyer" backed out at the last minute. This is a Goldsby raised Black Angus variety called an "Aberdeen". This steer is grassfed/grass finished. Carcass weight is 480 lbs (or 240 on the half). It's discounted to $4.20/lb on the hanging weight. PM me if interested. Need to sell it!

Range Day at RIT. In this drill the shooter is sequestered while the course is being set up. He has not seen the course in advance of shooting it. He is blindfolded and led to the starting point. Some of the targets are partially obscured by "no shoot" targets (in this case the brown side of a USPSA target) so the shooter must pick his shot placement so as not to strike the "no shoot" target. Other targets are head shots only or partially visible hit zones requiring more precise aiming and decision making. There is a lot going on so the shooter must stay focused while problem solving. This is one of the more advanced types of training we do and Jeff shows us how it's done.
