Laughter is the best medicine.

After 46 years of marriage, what am I most thankful for? That we can still make each other laugh 😃

Sure, sometimes we finish each other's sentences, or we blurt our the same thing, in the same language, at the same time... JINX!
But there's nothing better than a good laugh.

We're not coffee snobs, per se, but we're mature adults and we know what we like. Since coffee often costs $4+ a cup, and we were disappointed by the coffee at our last two breakfast spots ☕️, we decided Bjarne would get the first cup. If I liked it, I would order one for myself.

We tried a new breakfast café last week that featured a self-serve coffee bar. While I looked over the menu, Bjarne went to get his drink. It was a pleasant surprise to see a great selection of ceramic mugs, and the coffee itself looked fabulous. It was a bit weak, being a light roast, but it was tasty.

When I announced my approval of the coffee and got up to get my own he asked me: "What is Ya Ya?".

"What?" I asked.

He explained, "They have those little, individual creamers but they're all flavored. So I poured from the thermos, which I assume is milk, but it says Ya Ya on the label."

Now, not only coffee deprived, I'm curious. Arriving at the coffee station I see there are both light & dark roast options. I skillfully make my master blend of the two and move on the to creamer section. Being coffee purists (not snobs) we prefer that first cup in the morning to be hot and creamy without any sweetener or artifical flavorings.

Skipping the flavored mini-creamers I head straight for the thermos and stop dead in my tracks 👣. My whole body began to shake as I tried to contain my laughter. Because Bjarne had primed my subconscious, I saw it too: "Ya Ya."

But then I look closer... ½ & ½.

I guess you had to be there.

A cheerful heart is good medicine.
