✨ Coaching spotlight ✨

Assistant Coach Eric Schierer

Coach Eric spent much of his childhood on the field. When not playing for his own team, he was a sub. He has personal experience of playing at Oliver Thomas in his youth as well as in co-ed leagues. His passion for the game only multiplied when he had kids. Coach Eric strives to build a relationship with his two daughters and help them experience the same love for this life-changing sport. His passion for the game and the desire to build his girls’ confidence carried over into every girl he has coached. Coach Eric has coached summer recreational softball for over ten years with the Metamora Youth Sports Association and is currently in his sixth year of coaching school ball with St. Mary’s Catholic School in Metamora, Illinois. He truly believes that once confidence is built, anything is possible.

🥎 Introducing the 2026–27 NTRA Attack 13U Team! 🥎

First, we want to sincerely thank every girl who attended our tryouts. It takes courage to step onto the field, compete, and put your skills on display. We truly appreciate the effort, attitude, and determination each player showed, and we hope every girl continues working hard and enjoying the game.

A special congratulations goes to the young ladies who earned a place on our 2026–27 roster! We are incredibly excited to welcome you and your families to the NTRA Attack. This is only the beginning, and we cannot wait to get on the field, start developing as players and teammates, and build something special together.

We also want to thank all of the parents, families, friends, coaches, volunteers, and supporters of the Attack. The tremendous amount of encouragement and support we have received so far has been both humbling and inspiring. This program would not be possible without people who believe in these girls and in what we are working to create.

A very special thank you also goes to the NTRA Board members for believing in this program and allowing the NTRA Attack to operate under the Northern Tazewell Recreation Association. Their support has given us the opportunity to build this team, serve local families, and create a new path for these young athletes.

We are proud of this group, grateful for this opportunity, and ready to get started!

Tryouts for the upcoming season are officially complete! We want to extend a massive thank you to all the incredibly talented athletes who came out and gave it their all. The energy, skill, and heart on display made our decisions incredibly difficult, and we truly wish we had roster spots for everyone who took the field.

We are thrilled about the amazing potential for the upcoming season and can't wait to get started. Parents, please keep an eye out for a message from coach Ryan, as we will be reaching out to everyone individually over the next few days. To the players who don't see their names on the roster this time: please keep working, keep smiling, and never stop playing the game you love. Your dedication is inspiring, and we are rooting for your continued success! 🥎💪

🥎 NTRA Attack 14U Travel Softball Tryouts — Round 2! 🥎

We had a great turnout at our first NTRA Attack tryout, and we are excited to keep the momentum going at our next one!

Then NTRA Attack might be the right fit for you!

NTRA Attack is a 14U travel-lite softball team focused on development, fundamentals, confidence, teamwork, and giving girls an affordable opportunity to compete at the next level.

We are also multi-sport and multi-activity friendly. We know families are busy and players are involved in more than one thing. We support that, we just ask for good communication.

NTRA Attack operates under the Northern Tazewell Recreation Association, a 501(c)(3) non-profit, all-volunteer-run organization committed to providing youth sports opportunities in our community.
