Kansas City reportedly acquired **Diego Pounds from the Ravens** for a conditional 2028 sixth-round pick.

On the surface, it's a depth move.

But the timing is interesting.

With **Josh Simmons still dealing with a back issue**, the Chiefs are clearly making sure they have options at left tackle.

Does this mean Kansas City is worried about Simmons?

**I don't think so.**

I see it as smart roster management — prepare for every scenario and never leave yourself without a backup plan.
