A recent news story caught my eye and reminds me the importance of the work we do. Not just as s*x coaches but as leaders in general. To not take shame sitting down, and to not pretend that getting fired for consensual and private actions is fair or deserves to be normalized.

Also, I know I mentioned people who are as*xual may not have the same drivers to s*xt or share personal images but that doesn’t preclude them from doing it, just changes the reasoning behind why they might. This conversation impacts *all* of us.

Who here as ever felt the wisdom of their intuition and then had an “oh f**k” body response 🤚

I definitely have.

And it’s often because what our intuition recommends we do is most in alignment with ourselves but may be out of the comfort zone we’ve been used to.

Taking leaps in business, relationship pivots, and moves are all intuitive recommendations I’ve received and each one was promptly followed by a body response of - oh s**t. No, not now. Really? 🤣

The beauty when we trust our intuition though is you get to have all the physical feels you want and keep moving towards a life of more alignment.

And once you feel out your body’s response, you get to laugh it off.

Of course living a full and juicy life would trigger it if you’re not already experiencing it

That’s exactly the moment you want to be triggered and to take some action that moves you towards your dream life anyway.

That is simply another way to heal.

So check in. Listen to your intuition. Get freaked out. And keep going ❤️

Thank you for this juicy reminder today.

When it comes to nourishing the future we want, it’s essential to tend to our internal world and water what we want more of.

Is that doubt? Or is that self-belief?

A good litmus test to see what you’re watering is to draw a pie chart and choose a project you want to move forward.

Next, divide up the chart based on how much time you spend:

1. Thinking about it
2. Avoiding it
3. Actively moving it forward.

Odds are, if you aren’t seeing the success you want number 3 is probably lacking.

And that’s okay!

Because with this clarity you can begin to choose differently.

The name of the game? Take action with consistency that will make that piece of your pie chart grow.

And when you meet your own avoidance or self doubt, just ask yourself: what is one simple step I can take to move this project forward?

That alone shifts your needle and builds the energetic momentum to keep on going!

Truth be told, doubt will always be present. Whether in us or from someone else.

But doubt doesn’t mean we can’t be in action growing our dream life anyway.

Your future self deserves it ❤️

Grateful for my clients and grateful I get to support them on their journey!

Truly one of the best parts of working with a coach (in my experience as I’ve had a handful and still have one to this day) is being called on my bulls**t.

We all have it. We all do it. And honestly our subconscious would prefer us not to realize when we’re sipping our own cocktail of self-delusion and bulls**t bitters.

Here’s what I know having studied human flourishing for the past 10 years.

We are not good at spotting our bulls**t!

But we are good at changing our behavior when its come to light, typically because someone else has supported us in seeing it.

And once we see it? We get to let it go and anchor into our truth so we can start living a life that actually serves us.

For me, my bulls**t sometimes sounds like the false belief that I am not worthy or am not powerful or other times it sounds like downplaying my passions to keep me in my comfort zone.

For others, sometimes clients, the bulls**t I hear is that they’re okay with the way things are. “Okay” they say as their eyes gloss over at the life they’d really rather shake up and change than keep living!!

And this is where the power of coaching lies. Letting someone else see us, when we’re sharing bulls**t, and actually stop us. Say they don’t believe us. And ask us to try again.

It allows you to go deeper and uncover what’s *really* yearning to be discovered deep down inside.

And it’s from that awareness that a passionate and flavorful life can be created!

I love me some relationship dessert.

I love big trips.

I love great dinners.

I love delicious gifts and surprises.

But these alone do not make a relationship, though when I was younger I used to believe they did.

It’s no surprise that I found myself in an unhealthy relationship where love bombing was used to assure me that our relationship was better than it was, when in reality it was more like a roller coaster ride from final destination.

These days I realize that while those things are great to have, it’s the every day moments that make a relationship.

Much like tending a garden, it’s the action of watering your plants and savoring their beauty that makes the heart grow fonder.

And yes, with enough growth you can totally pick some vegetables and flowers and throw quite the rager of a garden dinner party!

But it’s the nourishment on the daily that truly makes a relationship feel like abundant.

I find the same is true in business. Are you chasing only the big things in business, the launches or the next huge deal? Or are you savoring the daily work of watering your business so you can reap the fruits you want without the chaos?

Today I invite you to lean in. Create some tenderness. And savor what you already have. Steal a sweet moment and simply be together. This is how you grow a relationship ❤️

Sitting with this old post this morning and I find it still rings true, both with our partners but also with ourselves.

As we deepen our healing work eventually the need arises to go beyond nurturing our inner child and to start championing your adult leadership.

To meet challenges and to cheer yourself on into overcoming them.

To see what’s essential, albeit boring or less s*xy, and get those tasks handled so the rest of your life can be delicious.

To set boundaries and standards that lift up your life and then actually celebrate yourself keeping them when they are challenged.

And while we can ask our partners for that same assistance, sometimes we’ve got to be our own champions and take the steering wheel back from the inner child and give it back to our mature inner guide.
