Spring is pretty much here which means the first paddle races on the East Coast are lining up!

The Washington Canoe Club is proud to kick off the season on April 12… if you can paddler it, you can race it!

Registration closes on April 9th (no exceptions) so register NOW so you dont forget!

Race season has arrived in Washington DC!
It is hard to believe this photo is from 10 years ago when I was giving the Washington Canoe Club Kumu'ohu Challenge safety talk (with the map drawn on the back of my ULI Boards ). It came up in my facebook memories today, loved those early days of SUP Racing!

So this is also a reminder that the, now, 18th Annual Kumu'ohu Challenge is coming up on April 20th but REGISTRATION CLOSES WED, APRIL 17TH so if you haven't already registered, please do it now.

Unfortunately, I will miss it again this year, we will be celebrating another great ski season with Vail closing the same weekend but I look forward to seeing you all on the water in May!

My friend Trish has decided that the Starboard she just purchased isn't the right board for her so she is eager to sell it and find one that is more appropriate for the kind of paddling she does. So, this is a brand new board that has only been in the water 2-3 times and is now significantly discounted.

For sale: 2023 Starboard Sprint carbon zero race board - 14 ft, 25.5 inches wide. Brand new, 19 pounds, perfect condition, super fast and stable in chop as well as calm water. The 16th Annual Kumu'ohu Challenge will be on April 22!

Registration closes on April 20th so register now that way you can forget about it knowing you are good rather than realize you waited too long and can't get it. We are looking forward to starting the the 2023 race season with you!
