A few weeks ago a small crew of us in PDX met to talk about barriers, skills, safety and dreams for leading a ride. 💭

Below are some common thoughts and a visual notes recap!

📍* Common barriers were not knowing where to ride or needing help to co-lead
🔧* Skills needs were route planning and basic bike maintenance
🍦*Popular ride ideas were bike rides related to food and bikepacking trips
❣️*Safety ideas were intro's with name and pronouns and setting intentions early and clearly

Leading a ride can be a lot of work but a key takeaway was to ask for help. One place to do that is the FOB Slack group, which is a chat app for ppl to ask questions and share rides. DM us if you’d like to be added!
