❤️🖤 ATHLETE OF THE WEEK: NEVA COFFER 🖤❤️

This week, we are celebrating one of our incredible captains, Neva Coffer!

Neva is truly something special. She is hardworking, dependable, and always one of the first people to volunteer whenever something needs to be done. She will meet you anytime, anywhere to work on cheerleading—and if you are struggling academically, she will be right there to help with that too.

Neva has the kindest heart and an old soul, but she is also fierce in every part of her life. She faces challenges head-on, works tirelessly for the things and people she believes in, and never does anything halfway. She loves fiercely, leads fiercely, and protects her people fiercely. Once you are her friend, you are her friend for life. She will encourage you, stand beside you, fight for you, and take care of you without ever thinking twice. Her strength is undeniable, but it is the way she uses that strength to lift up everyone around her that makes her so special.

And on the sidelines, Neva is absolute FIRE! 🔥 She cheers nonstop, is always one of the first to start a cheer, and knows exactly how to bring the energy. She knows how to have fun while also keeping everyone organized, focused, and ready for what comes next. That balance is what makes her such an outstanding captain.

Neva is UCM Cheer through and through. She is the perfect combination of heart, soul, fierceness, leadership, and sideline energy—and we are incredibly lucky to have her leading and loving this team!

One of our absolute FAVORITE traditions each year is our MuleKicker & UCM Cheer Lock In, and we are so incredibly grateful to Twister Sports for once again opening their doors and sponsoring this special night for our teams! 📣🐴

There’s something pretty special about small-town connections with BIG hearts. ❤️ Twister gives us a place to get away, have some fun, spend time together, and make memories as a team outside of practices and game days.

Thank you, Twister Sports, for letting us take over your gym for the night and helping us continue one of our very favorite traditions! ❤️🖤🤍

🐴📣 NEVAEH WALKER 📣🐴

Some athletes make a team better because of their talent. Others make a team better because of who they are.

Nevaeh Walker does both. ❤️

Nevaeh is truly one of the most incredible humans you could ever have the privilege of knowing. She is kind inside and out, hardworking, caring, forgiving, understanding, and the type of person who genuinely sees the best in everyone around her.

And then there’s her personality. 😂❤️ Nevaeh is hysterically funny, quick-witted, sarcastic, and has an unmatched ability to make people laugh exactly when they need it most. When the going gets tough, Nevaeh somehow gets funnier. You simply cannot stay down for long when she is around. Her humor, energy, and lighthearted spirit have a way of lifting everyone around her.

But behind all of that humor is an athlete who WORKS. Nevaeh gives every ounce she has at every practice. She brings incredible spirit, pushes herself, supports her teammates, and is truly everybody’s friend. She makes people feel welcomed, valued, and loved—and that is something you simply cannot coach.

Nevaeh also has BIG dreams for her life, and there is absolutely no doubt that she will accomplish every single one of them—and probably go far beyond anything she can even imagine right now. Her work ethic, heart, determination, and ability to find joy even when things are difficult are going to take her so far.

We are incredibly lucky that Nevaeh chooses to share all of those things with UCM Cheer. She makes our team stronger, happier, funnier, and better simply by being herself.

Nevaeh, never lose that huge heart, that quick wit, or that ability to bring light into every room you walk into. The people around you are better because you're there, and UCM Cheer is certainly better because you're part of it. ❤️🖤🤍

❤️🖤 ATHLETE OF THE WEEK: ALLY 🖤❤️

This week’s Athlete of the Week is Ally, and it’s hard to put into words everything she brings to this team.

Ally is quite literally one of the hardest workers in our program. She takes every correction she is given, applies it, and runs with it. If she doesn’t understand something, she asks questions because she genuinely wants to learn and get better. She doesn't just hear a correction. She works until she can apply it.

And talk about versatile! Ally can main base, side base, fly coed, AND fly all-girl. She is the kind of athlete you can put wherever she is needed, and she will step in, figure it out, and give it everything she has.

But as impressive as Ally is as an athlete, who she is as a person is what really sets her apart.

Ally has a heart of gold. She is genuine, kind, caring, and completely herself. She wears her emotions on her face, and you always know you're getting the real Ally. ❤️ She is one of the first people to step in when something needs to be done and one of the first to volunteer when our program needs someone.

She is also the kind of friend everyone hopes to find. Ally is a ride-or-die teammate and friend. She shows up, loves her people fiercely, and genuinely cares about those around her. She creates the kind of friendships that will last far beyond cheerleading.

Ally, never lose that heart, that work ethic, or your willingness to do whatever your team needs. We are incredibly lucky to have you.

This week’s Athlete of the Week is Kenyiah Mays! 🌟

Kenyiah is one of our captains, but the impact she has on this team goes far beyond a title. She is truly the heart and soul of our team. ❤️

She is the kind of athlete every program hopes to have — hardworking, dependable, kind, and willing to give 100% in everything she does. Whether at practice, on the sideline, or performing, Kenyiah brings an energy that people notice. Her smile lights up the sideline, her presence draws you in, and she represents our program with confidence and pride.

But what makes Kenyiah so special isn’t just the cheerleader everyone sees. It’s the person and teammate she is when no one is watching. She leads by example, works incredibly hard, encourages the people around her, and genuinely cares about others.

It is hard to put into words just how important Kenyiah is to us. We truly cannot imagine this team without her. She makes us better simply by being a part of it, and we are so incredibly lucky to have her. ❤️

Kenyiah, never underestimate the impact you have on this team or how much you are valued. Keep working hard, keep leading with your heart, and keep being exactly who you are.
