This page is created by Martha, Joe's better half, who after hearing many rich and vibrant stories of the Interboro Gym bullied him into letting me share this and hopefully hear more from others who remember the gyms. Interboro Gym, on White Plains Road (across from the Skate Key) near Allerton Avenue, Bronx, NY. Jones (tag team wrestling champions), Tonio "Snake" Adger (best symmetry ever) to this Bronx gym. Owned by Joe Fogliano, Interboro Gym encompassed boxing, kick boxing, karate, bodybuilding and power lifting long before contemporary body building and mma gyms existed. Joe acknowledges Tommy Municello at Mid City Gym coming before him in the '60's and Rob Messina and Jack Valenza, East Coast Gym in Westchester coming a bit later.
