If you see someone doing donuts in an empty parking lot, what should you do?
A) call the cops
B) approach them
C) leave them alone
D) yell at them from your window
And the answer is . . Ding Ding Ding . .
✅️C) leave people alone.
Do you remember when you were learning to drive? At some point you had to LEARN how to drive your car through the snow, and chances are someone took you out to a parking lot to try. So why are you so quick to look down on a kid trying to learn today?
And yes.
They HAVE to learn. By allowing these kids to mess around in a safer environment, they start to learn a lot, such as -
•To remain calm
•How to counter steer
•What happens when you hit the brakes too hard
•How to make the car go where they want it to go
Even "screwing around' is a chance to learn, so when something happens while driving down the road, these new drivers have a better chance to avoid a crash.
WHAT'S YOUR ALTERNATIVE?
Should a new driver avoid the snowy roads until their work decides they nees to drive regardless of their comfort?
Should they just go out on a road full of cars, and learn by driving towards your family, and just hope when they hit ice for the first time they miss the oncoming lane?
Or should they just not drive?
Yeah those other options sound pretty dumb, dont they?
New drivers, let me add something.
DO NOT mess around near a building, or cars, or near light polls or other personal property. And if you damage something, just own up to it, stuff happens.
