Captured during preparations for the World Futsal Championships at Disney World, this photograph of Arlington native Dylan Walsh feels more like a piece of art than a sports image.

With one foot striking the ball and one hand pointing toward the next opportunity, Dylan appears to be doing two things at once—executing the play and directing it.

The blurred ball creates a sense of speed and movement, while the athlete remains calm and composed at the center of the frame. It’s a powerful reminder that futsal isn’t just about technical skill—it’s about vision, decision-making, and confidence under pressure.

Today, Dylan continues his soccer career at Division I Stonehill College, but moments like this remind us of the work, commitment, and passion that helped build that foundation.

⚽ Futsal Season Wrapped — And What a Run

We’ve officially wrapped another outstanding Sidekick Sports Academy Futsal season in Arlington.

From week one to the final session, players showed real growth — improving their ball control, speed of play, and confidence in tight spaces. Just as importantly, they competed hard, supported teammates, and embraced the process of getting better.

Futsal continues to be one of the most effective ways to develop soccer players — every touch matters, every decision counts.

With the FIFA World Cup 2026 on the horizon, it’s exciting to see young players building the same foundational skills that drive the global game.

🏒 Our Street Hockey evening skills program brought tremendous energy to Arlington, MA Recreation as players hit the gym floor to develop skills, compete with friends, and experience the fun of the game.

The image from this week’s session is a tribute to the legendary Sports Illustrated “Miracle on Ice” cover — a reminder of how powerful sports moments can inspire the next generation.

With the United States celebrating gold medals in both men’s and women’s hockey at the 2026 Winter Olympics, it’s an exciting time for hockey across the country. Programs like ours give young players the chance to experience the sport in a fun, supportive environment while building confidence, teamwork, and athletic skills.

Seeing kids bring that same passion and excitement to street hockey in Arlington is exactly why we love what we do.

More programs are on the way — and we look forward to seeing even more players join us on the pavement.
