Before teaching lessons, every instructor completes background screening and a minimum of 40 hours of training focused on water safety, survival swim skills and supporting swimmers at every stage.

This preparation helps our instructors create a safe, encouraging environment where swimmers can build skills and confidence at their own pace.

At British Swim School of Northern East Bay, we teach water safety and survival skills first (like floating and self-rescue), then build strong swim technique and confidence. We’re year-round and indoors, with small classes.
We’re currently teaching in: Richmond (City Sports Club), Walnut Creek (24 Hour Fitness), and El Cerrito (24 Hour Fitness).
If you want, comment with your child’s age and comfort level in water and I’ll suggest a good starting level (no pressure).
