We have had several people ask for more pictures of our Gasser that we are taking to the Meltdown Drags Association. This 1935 Ford was originally built as a gasser in the early 60s where it ran at Lakeland Dragway in Memphis until the early 70s. The car was then purchased by Mr. Glen Grant who would later become one of Dad's very best friends. Mr. Glen converted the car back to being street-able and drove it EVERY DAY until the mid 90s. Mr. Glen passed in 1999 and a couple of years later Dad was able to purchase the car from the family. The car was always ran in primer and never really had a finished paint job. When Dad acquired the car he decided to put it back as it was when it was a gasser as they had talked about doing before Mr. Glen passed. This paint job was put on the car around the year 2000 with "Glens garage" added to the door as a tribute to our friend. The car still sports its all aluminum race interior and roll bar as it was in the 60s. The stance and motor set back are just as it was in its racing days. The car was originally powered by and injected oldsmobile but now runs a SBC stroker motor. It will be quite the honor to have this car at an event as prestigious as the Meltdown drags.
