What an experience playing in the biggest and best 11U tournament around was! The girls did not show up sharp and focused for the first two pool games on Friday. Adjusting to college level strike zones at the plate and in the circle, along with the environment took a minute.
They turned around that evening and lost a dogfight to a great Oklahoma team 2-1. The uninspiring pool play got us a ticket to an 8am bracket game that our bats decided to sleep through.
With their backs against the wall, they accepted the challenge to "play on Sunday". The bats awakened as they scored 26 runs the rest of the day and shut down the park on Saturday night including eliminating the team that beat them 2-1 the night prior.
Sunday morning, they continued with good energy beating Gametime from Oklahoma 7-1 with timely hitting and dominant pitching. Ultimately, an error filled inning put us out as we fell 6-5 to 643 National team. Tied for 13th out of 47 teams isn't bad for our first go at this level of play. Most importantly we played 8 QUALITY teams and learned so much. They now know they belong and what it will take to play "Late on Sunday" at such a prestigious event.
If you are on the fence about playing with Diamond Legacy Events stop and call Chad Stears and get registered. Three professionals umpiring every game, no milking the clock for wins, just big girl softball!! Chad is present and very accessible to answer all questions. He navigated and communicated a decent storm to keep everyone safe but also get in every game.

Prayers for safe travel as this group of young ladies travel North to Hot Springs today. Looking forward to playing in our first Diamond Legacy Events tournament! We are hoping for great weather and even better softball! Chad Stears
