Wakefield Swimming Pool The Wakefield Family Aquatic Center was built in 2007. Swimming lessons are offered yearly. Private parties can be booked pending lifeguard availability.

The swimming pool features zero depth entry, two water slides, diving board, swimming lanes, locker rooms, and concession stand.

As of Friday, June 5, 2026, the repair item for the pool has not been delivered. It should be delivered on Monday, June 8, 2026. Once the City crew has the part installed, the pool will need to be filled and chemicals regulated. We're all hoping to be opened next weekend. Please stay tuned and pass the word! Thank you.

As a reminder to those coming in this weekend for the baseball tournament: Our City Park campground has six spots available (with water and electricity only) that are NOT RESERVABLE. These are first come, first served. Because the pool is CLOSED this weekend, all camping spot payments will need to be taken care of at the City Office at 405 Main Street. We are open until 5pm Friday night; however, there is a mail slot to drop off payments after hours. Camping is $15 per night. No shower keys will be available this weekend. We are sorry for the inconvenience

The pool pump needs repairs, so the pool will not be open until AT LEAST late next week. 😢😭We are waiting on the part, and as soon as the crew receives it, they'll install it, and, fingers crossed 🤞🏻, the pool will open. The pool will be offering ONE session of Red Cross swim lessons this year: June 22, 23, 24, 25, 26, and 29, 2026. Water Safety Instructor Daveigh Munter-McAfee will be teaching the lessons. Once the pool opens, you can speak with her to get your child(ren) enrolled. Pool's number is 531-571-5350.
Private lessons may be available on a limited basis with individual guards. For more information, ask at the pool after opening day.
