I know there are many of you curious to how we decide the modifications made for outdoor school activities. We use a wet globe bulb thermometer to gauge the heat stress on people. The temperature we get from our WGBT is then cross referenced with a chart from KSHSAA with recommended modifications. We have been using this for fall outdoor activities for the past three years. The short YouTube video does a great job explaining how a WGBT works.
