Ignore the negative “new year, new me” posts. There is literally no better time to start fresh than the beginning of a NEW year!
•write down your goals, your WHY, start small!
•take progress pictures
•get a food/workout journal
•find a trainer/accountability coach to keep you on track
Things to keep in mind if you plan to start your wellness journey next month:
•you are NOT taking up space
•you are just as welcome as everyone who’s been going to the gym for years
•don’t be afraid to ask for help, most people in the gym will be eager to show you the ropes
•it’s okay to start small, with light weights or walks around the neighborhood
•progress is different in everyone - don’t compare yourself to others!
•it’s not always about losing weight, gaining muscle, etc. it’s about how you feel and your ability to stay consistent & show up for yourself, no matter how many times you’ve started over.
