WABASSO WRESTLING — ANOTHER GREAT OPPORTUNITY FOR OUR ATHLETES!

Wabasso wrestlers have another awesome chance to get on the mat — Keagan Steen is fired up and ready to work with ANY and ALL Wabasso wrestlers who want to keep improving.

MONDAYS IN WABASSO
Keagan will be in the room every Monday, helping wrestlers sharpen technique, build confidence, and keep growing in the sport.

SUNDAY OPEN MATS • 6–7:30 PM
Wabasso also offers open mats every Sunday night — and you can catch Keagan there too.

If Mondays don’t work, reach out to him directly @ (507) 822-6708. He’s passionate about coaching and is more than willing to work with kids one‑on‑one when needed.

This is a great chance for our wrestlers to get extra reps, extra attention, and extra growth.

🔥 2026 14U National Duals Preview 🔥

Team Minnesota has landed in Florida for the 2026 14U National Duals, taking place June 9-12 at the Wiregrass Ranch Sports Campus. The 14U division features some of the nation's top wrestlers born in 2012 and 2013, competing in both Greco-Roman and Freestyle competition.

Greco-Roman action begins tomorrow, June 9, at 7:00 a.m. CST with three rounds of preliminary pool competition. Greco competition will conclude Wednesday afternoon before athletes weigh in again for Freestyle. Freestyle competition begins Thursday morning at 7:00 a.m. CST and wraps up on Friday.

Minnesota will put out one tough team to compete at this year's event in its new Florida location in Wesley Chapel. The roster is loaded with wrestlers who have put in the work throughout the spring and summer, and we are excited to see them represent Minnesota on the national stage.

Looking back, last year Minnesota finished 3rd in Greco-Roman and 9th in Freestyle. In 2024 they finished 7th in both styles.

Looking further back, Team Minnesota captured the 14U Freestyle National Duals Championship in 2021 with a victory over California in the finals. In 2019, Minnesota finished as Greco-Roman National Runner-Up, falling only to Pennsylvania.

This year's squad is accomplished and looks to continue Minnesota's tradition of excellence and challenge some of the nation's best teams throughout the week.

Open mat practices are for all Wabasso wrestlers and will be from 6:00pm- 7:30pm
