We’re kicking off the 2026–2027 season with one of our favorite traditions — the ODAC Family Picnic!

Our New Family Informational Meeting begins at 11:00 AM at Honey Bee Pool. Meet & greet the staff and board, we’ll cover the ins and outs of ODAC, answer questions and help our newest families get ready for a great season!

Then at noon, it’s time to relax, swim, eat and enjoy some time together outside of practice. 💙

🔥 94% MEMBER RETENTION! 🔥

Tomorrow marks Day One of the 2026–2027 ODAC season — and we’re starting it with a number we’re incredibly proud of:

🏊‍♂️ 94% ARE COMING BACK. 🏊‍♀️

That means 94% of our eligible swimmers from last season chose to return to ODAC for another year.

In a sport where the hours are long, the practices are hard and the commitment extends far beyond the pool, that number means something.

It means our swimmers want to be here.
It means families believe in what we’re building.
It means teammates become friends, coaches make an impact, and our pool deck becomes a place our athletes want to come back to season after season.

And what a season they’re coming back from.
We celebrated personal bests, championship cuts, team records, podium finishes and some incredible performances on some very big stages.

But tomorrow, we start again.
New season. New goals. Day One.

From our youngest swimmers learning what it means to be part of a team to our national-level athletes chasing their biggest goals yet, everyone gets back in the water and starts building toward what comes next.

And we’re pretty excited that 96% of our crew is coming back to build it together. 💪💙

🥈🏊‍♀️🚴‍♀️🏃‍♀️ NATIONAL SILVER FOR CARLEE EVANS! 🇺🇸

ODAC swimmer Carlee Evans just accomplished something pretty incredible on the national stage!
At just 9 years old, Carlee earned the SILVER MEDAL 🥈 in the Youth 9–10 National Triathlon in West Chester, Ohio, competing against young athletes from across the United States!

The swim-bike-run event challenged athletes with:
🏊‍♀️ 100-meter open water swim
🚴‍♀️ 5K bike
🏃‍♀️ 1K run

And Carlee was the second-fastest finisher in her age group in the nation! 🇺🇸🥈

Carlee puts in the work to make accomplishments like this possible. She trains with ODAC five times each week while also training twice a week with Endorphine Fitness to develop her triathlon skills.
Swimming may only be one part of a triathlon, but we LOVE seeing our ODAC athletes take the strength, endurance, discipline, and confidence they build in the pool and use it to accomplish incredible things beyond the lane lines.

🚨 ODAC MEN EARN NATIONAL RUNNER-UP HONORS! 🚨

That's not just a finish—it's a statement.

Against nearly 150 teams from across the country, the ODAC Men's Team rose to the challenge at the 2026 TYR Futures Championships in Greensboro, NC, finishing as the Men's High Point Runner-Up with an incredible 227 team points.

This wasn't the result of one great swim. It was built through four days of relentless racing, teammates pushing one another, podium finishes, relay performances, record-breaking swims, and athletes stepping up when it mattered most.

Along the way, ODAC celebrated:

🥇 Futures Relay Champions
🏅 Numerous individual podium finishes
🚨 Multiple ODAC Team Records
⭐ First-time qualifiers for Winter Jr Nationals, Summer Jr Nationals, U.S. Open, and USA Swimming Nationals.

🚨 TEAM RECORD ALERT! 🚨

The record-breaking performances kept coming at the TYR Futures Championships!

Karter Wachs rewrote the ODAC record books once again, breaking the Men's Open 800 Meter Freestyle Long Course Team Record with a phenomenal 8:23.30!

The previous record of 8:26.24 was set by Blake Johnson at the 2021 Speedo Summer Championships—in the very same pool in Greensboro.

It's a fitting full-circle moment. Five years after Blake established the standard on this pool deck, Karter returned to Greensboro and lowered it even further, adding another chapter to ODAC's history.

Congratulations, Karter, on another incredible achievement! Your dedication and relentless pursuit of excellence continue to raise the bar for everyone who wears an ODAC cap.

🏊 DAY 4 FINALS RECAP | TYR FUTURES CHAMPIONSHIPS 🏊

ODAC went out with a bang! 💙💛

The final day of the TYR Futures Championships was one to remember. Our swimmers capped off an incredible week with 10 individual swims, 5 individual championship finalists, and our Men's 400 Medley Relay racing under the lights.

The result? Five more trips to the podium!
🏅 Maggie Wright — 5th Place | 200 Backstroke
🥉 Bulut Ertufan — 3rd Place | 200 Backstroke
🏅 Zach McNabb — 8th Place | 800 Freestyle
🏅 Karter Wachs — 4th Place | 800 Freestyle
🏅 Men's 400 Medley Relay — 5th Place

The relay team was comprised of:
🏊 Bulut Ertufan (Back)
🏊 Marcus Brutus (Breast)
🏊 Nicky Stratton (Fly)
🏊 Nick Dees (Free)

As impressive as tonight was, there was even more to celebrate throughout the day. ODAC swimmers achieved new championship-level qualifying standards, including a first-time U.S. Open qualifier and a first-time USA Swimming National Championships qualifier, and another ODAC team record fell. It's the last day, fast day in Greensboro, NC!

After an incredible week that has already produced multiple personal bests, podium finishes, four new ODAC team records, and a Futures relay championship, ODAC is ready for one final night of racing.
