Ride along of the moms’ 170 race at Outlaw Series at Eagles Canyon Raceway. We got a little banged up off the start and then probably overdrove a bit trying to get caught back up. Still ended up second! Great job, TTP Racing Mom/Elizabeth! We’re coming for ya next time! The kids thought the moms were hilarious and I’d do it again for sure. Thanks to Maggie for letting me and Clare Smith pilot the two HISUN Motors Corp., USA #18 cars. All of the moms were ripping! The sun was brutal, so the video gets a little blurry! We are driving home from a very BUSY weekend racing at the Outlaw Series Triple Crown event. We got to race in some really competitive fields with drivers coming from the Texas, California, and Missouri series.
Here is the Day ☝️ rundown:
🛞Joey #16 qualified P1 for the limited class and ended up second overall for the day in a class of 14. Joey also drove his limited car in the mod class. He went against some true mod cars and was able to hold his own. He placed fourth of 5 there but got some great experience.
🛞Maggie #18 qualified ninth in the stock class and ended up ninth overall for the day in a class of 13. Her real improvement was in the limited class in her new car! She qualified twelfth and finished twelfth for the day out of 14 cars. Last race she was not able to stay with the pack, but she was making passes and keeping with the pack this weekend! It was awesome to see her confidence grow.
🛞Aaron #20 is still out there chugging along! He finished eleventh of 14 in the stock class. He likes to really trick us and start to “race” at about the halfway point through the race. But he is 5 and living his best life at the track!
🛞After the track had cleared, the moms got to race in the kid cars! The kids thought it was hilarious! Jacob told me I wasn’t allowed to let off so I tried. I got second in the end!

Racing 🤝 Rescue
Please share our foster pups. We started with four puppies and we are down to these two doggos. They came from a not-so-great situation but the kids have all been helping to teach them how to be family dogs. First roll(s) for the kid. He is fine and we are going to get to work on the car for rounds 7 and 8 of Outlaw Series in two weeks. Joey was battling in the mod class and got tangled up, causing him to take a gnarly roll. He was so tough and he got into Maggie’s car (which he has never even sat in) and drove in the limited race a few races later. He ended up getting second place in the second heat and second overall for the day🥈

Maggie had an off start in her first heat of the stock class, losing her fifth place spot and finishing eighth. In the second heat, she worked her way back up to fifth, putting her fifth of ten overall for the day.

Aaron is still learning a little bit each race. He got a seventh and a ninth, putting him eighth of ten for the day. Between the rain and the wreck, I didn’t get many good photos of everyone, but we are so proud of how all of the kids are progressing! #16 #18 #20

We are super proud of Joey! He showed up to Texas to race this weekend. He got first place in both of his heats today, earning him a first place overall for round 5. He had some of his fastest laps ever. We also missed practice/qualifying yesterday to drive down so he had to start at fifth and fight his way up to the front!

Maggie started in 6th in limited and finished 5th for the day. She started 10th in stock and worked her way up to 5th overall for the day.

Aaron started 11th in stock and finished 8th overall for the day.

It was a great day of racing and we can’t wait to see what round 6 will bring tomorrow!

We didn’t quite have the weekend we’d hoped for, but…sometimes you win, sometimes you learn. The kids are gaining experience and speed every race weekend. We had some highs and lows this weekend and 100% ready to do it again soon. Thank you to everyone who makes the Outlaw Series world go round!
