FIRST RUNNER-UP AT MISS AMERICA’S TEEN!!! 🥹🤍
I still cannot believe I get to say those words. My heart is so full, and I am leaving West Palm happier and more grateful than I could ever explain. Wearing Mississippi across my heart, standing on the Miss America’s Teen stage and sharing who I am was truly the experience of a lifetime.
Throughout the week, I was blessed to receive an evening gown preliminary award and be named first runner-up for the Quality of Life award for Millie’s Mission. Hearing my name called as first runner-up to Miss America’s Teen was a moment I will never forget. Knowing that no Miss Mississippi’s Teen has ever made it this far makes it even more special, and I am so thankful I had the opportunity to make a little history for my state.
I am also incredibly grateful to have earned $12,500 in scholarships during this experience. At 16 years old, I have now earned a total of $27,500 throughout my four years of competing in the Miss America Opportunity. I will never take for granted being part of an organization that invests in my education and future.
Millie, you are the reason behind Millie’s Mission and the reason this journey has always meant so much more than a crown. Sharing our story on a national stage meant more to me than any award ever could. You inspire me every day, and being your sister will always be my favorite title.
Mom, we did it!! Thank you for every mile, late night, pep talk, prayer and sacrifice that brought us here. You believed in this dream as much as I did, and this moment belongs to you too.
To everyone who called, texted, prayed, posted, voted and cheered me on, thank you. I felt every bit of your love this week. I came hoping to make Mississippi proud, and I am leaving with the sweetest memories, the best new friendships and a heart overflowing with gratitude.
First runner-up at Miss America’s Teen. What an honor, what a blessing and what a dream come true. 🤍
