This past weekend, we made the trip to Florence Speedway, but it was a tough start right out of the gate. We qualified 14th, which lined us up 7th in the heat race, where we managed to finish 6th. That put us starting 12th for the feature, but unfortunately, on the second restart heading into turn one, we broke the lift bar and driveshaft, ending our night early.

RACE RECAP:
April 26,2025 - Linkszone Kids Night of Wheels Florence Speedway

We returned to Florence Speedway for the second Pro-Late Model race of the year. Despite heavy rain on Thursday and Friday, I was pleasantly surprised that we were able to race. A big thank you to the track officials for providing a fast racing surface that held up throughout the night. Overall, I’m pleased with our progress. I started the feature in sixth place (P6)and managed to drive up to third (P3), but I dropped back to fourth (P4) after a run-in with the #11 while battling for position. We're learning each week and are eager to keep improving. We'll be back in action on Saturday, May 3, 2025 for the Ralph Latham Memorial.

We made a last-minute trip out to Moler Raceway Park for their opening night of the year. It was our first time at Moler and our first time racing against the super late models. Unfortunately, we weren’t able to hot lap or qualify and were thrown into the back of a heat race, starting 10th and finishing 8th. We started 19th in the feature and worked our way up to finish 11th.

We’re really happy with how the night turned out, especially considering it was only our second race. A big thanks to everyone who came out to the track and supported us!

Our next race will be at Florence speedway April 26th running with the pro late models.

We hit the track at Florence Speedway for our first practice in the late model. The initial laps were a real learning experience, but with each run, I gained more comfort and confidence. We'll be back at Florence Speedway this Saturday, for the spring 50. A huge thank you to Glenwood Electric for coming on board for the 2025 season and for their continued support!
