Today at the Frank E Radar Southeast USA Wrestling Championships!

We had a few kids from MS come and compete!

14U Freestyle 126 Daniel Lindsey placed 2nd

Junior Girls Freestyle 120 Hannah Lindsey Placed 3rd (Automatic Fargo qualifier)

Junior Girls Freestyle 130 Alaija Green placed 5th (Automatic Fargo qualifier)

I believe these are the first kids from MS to place at the Southeast Regionals and we expect a bunch more over the next few years!!!

Great job kids and keep up the hard work!!!

The Tournament only medaled out to 4th place and for 16U and Junior division placed out to 6th!

USA Fargo Nationals for Freestyle and Greco information is below.

Those who competed in the USA State Wrestling Tournament in the Freestyle and or Greco divisions and placed top 4 are the Qualifiers from Mississippi USA Wrestling. Also, previous Fargo Qualifiers unable to attend can submit a request to MSUSA for inclusion to Fargo is spots are available and the given weight and age group.

To be be able to attend Fargo Nationals 1) you have to notify MSUSA wrestling of your intentions to go by 26 May 2026!

2) order your Team Mississippi Gear pack to wrestle in at Fargo as it’s the only uniform allowed in Fargo Nationals

3) Make Payment to MS USA for the $85 registration fee.

Fargo is the the toughest tournament in the USA for Freestyle and Greco, we will work to set up dates to practice and train Freestyle/Greco at locations in the North and South.

The travel and lodging for the event will be the responsibility of every wrestler and parent going.

We would like to provide a huge THANK YOU the Purvis Tornadoes Wrestling program, for hosting a great MSUSA State tournament!

We also want to thank everyone for the patience with the delays in the starting.

There was a ton of great Wrestling and the state is continuing to grow and as such we will start working now for next year to ensure we have a venue that can accommodate more mats and more wrestlers!!!!

We had the following compete and win titles in all 3 categories Folkstyle, Freestyle, and Greco Roman to earn the MSUSA Wrestling Triple Crown award.

Reminder for tomorrow it is $10 admission to the tournament.

Only Coaches that are Wrestling leaders will be allowed mat side and entry to the tournament with a arm band for entry!

Also if you have any donations for the tornado victims of the Purvis community those will be accepted all day to help the community!!
