After five incredible years serving as President of West Craven Youth Football & Cheer, this is one of the hardest messages I’ve ever had to write.
It is with a heavy heart that I share that we will not have a football and cheer season this year.
This organization has been so much more than a sport. It has been a family. Over the past five years, I’ve had the privilege of watching children grow into confident young athletes, lifelong friendships form, and our community come together in support of our youth. Those memories are something I’ll always cherish.
To every player, cheerleader, parent, coach, volunteer, sponsor, and supporter—thank you. Thank you for trusting me, believing in our program, and helping create something special for the children of West Craven. Your dedication and support have meant more than words can express.
While I’m saddened that we won’t be on the field together this season, I remain grateful for every practice, every game, every cheer, every touchdown, every victory, and even every challenge that made us stronger.
Please continue to encourage and support our young athletes. They deserve every opportunity to grow, compete, and succeed.
From the bottom of my heart, thank you for allowing me to serve this amazing community for the past five years. It has truly been an honor.
This may be the end of this season, but the memories, friendships, and impact we’ve made together will last forever.
