‼️‼️ANNOUNCEMENTS ‼️‼️
This is kind of long but please read!! Sorry but some of these things need addressed even though they should already be known.
1. Coaches received their teams and practice schedules. You should be hearing from them soon.
2. Practices will begin well begin week of Aug 15th for U8 and up. Practice/games for U6 will begin week of Aug 29th. 🤾♂️🤾♀️🤾
3. Picture Day 📸 more information will follow on exact time for picture taking. A sign up will be sent out for that to the coaches. But we do have 2 dates set up for that. Aug 27th and Sept 10th (mostly for U6 but others as needed).
4. Field set up 🥅is Sunday August 14th, 2-4pm. A sign up genius was sent out. I believe most spots were filled but doesn't hurt to have extra help if you have time to spare.
5. Most board members, myself included are new this year. We are all learning. Thank you for being patient with us. If you have any comments, questions, or concerns please let me know. I am Stephanie Bisbee the new VBYSA Director. You may message this page or email me at [email protected]
6. Please read the prior post about parking at the complex. 🚘 Let's all work together on this. There will be more traffic with midget football starting the same week as soccer practice.
7. There are signs posted about dogs not being allowed there. 🚫🐕 I know a lot of people walk their dogs around the complex while practice is going on. I am not sure what the exact rules are but please....if you are walking your dog you MUST clean up after them. I believe they would like to keep pets off the grass as this is where our children are playing. Please refrain from bringing them to games as this can cause distractions for the player during the game. There is also a safety concern with animals, whether it be between people or other animals.
8. Please be respectful of the complex and property. 🚫 Do not climb on the nets and goals.🥅 🚫Do not walk on tables or ledges in the shelter house.
9. Playground - Parents please keep an eye on your children. Please do not allow children to throw stones or mulch on the equipment or at other children playing. Let's keep it nice for years to come and have somewhere nice for kids to play while their siblings are having a game.
10. PLEASE REMEMBER WE ARE ALL VOLUNTEERS. Coaches, assistant coaches, and board memeber. Referees do get paid but they are also doing something that they love so please treat them with respect also. A lot of these Referees are young and/or students and players themselves. So please treat everyone with respect.
Thank you for taking the time to read this. Let's have a fun season!!!!
