A huge congratulations to SR C Cal Lemmons on his commitment to Murray State University!!
We could not be more happy for Cal and his family, and cannot wait to see what he can do in his senior year and beyond!!! Cal is the 5th Cherokee to commit to play at the next level since 2024 and the 3rd in MT baseball history to commit to the Division 1 level! He is also the 2nd commit in the class of 2027!
Cal has been a 3 year starter for the Cherokees, starting every game since his freshman year either behind the plate or in the infield. Cal was named All State as a Sophomore and Junior by Prep Baseball Indiana and All State Honorable Mention by the IHSBCA as a JR. He has also been PCC All Conference the last 2 years and 2nd Team All-Area for the Post Tribune and NWI Times.
In his career so far, Cal has collected 99 hits, 82 RBIs, and 49 XBH including 28 doubles, 14 triples, and 7 home runs. Cal is in the drivers seat to break some all time records in his Senior Year this spring and has earned it with a ton of hard work and dedication! He carries himself with a quiet confidence and puts in the work every single day, and we are glad to have him as a part of our program!
We believe this is a great program and excellent fit for Cal, we cannot wait to see him compete down there and make a mark on their program!!! He will do great things!
