Cherokees showed out this weekend in the first weekend on the Travel/Legion Circuit! See below for stats!

Americans Baseball Club 16u won 4 games Sunday to take home the ship, congrats to Brody, Caleb, and Noah!

Congrats to JR SS Clint Lemmons on being selected to the PCC All Conference Team!!

Clint set a school record‼️ for single season stolen bases, going 38 for 38 in steals, which put him at 3rd in the entire state 1A-4A despite the #1 SOS in 1A. Clint played an excellent defense at SS, holding a .944 FP. Clint collected 14 XBH including 7 triples, slashing .415/.513/1.152 with 39 hits, 24 RBI, and 37 runs scored!!! Clint also was Academic All Conference!

Clint’s statistical improvements year over year are some of the most impressive we have ever seen. He is one of our leaders and we are so proud of him!

Congrats to FR OF/RHP Clayton Atchison for being selected to the PCC All Conference Team!

Clayton had an incredible freshman campaign, as he led the team in BA, RBI, and ERA. Acting as the closer, Clayton went 3/3 in saves, striking out 34 in 28 IP with a 1.66 ERA. At the plate, Clayton ranked top 10 in the state in Stolen Bases and Runs scored, stealing 30 bases and scoring 37 runs. He drove in 32 runs and also hit 3 triples and a HR. He hit .420 with 41 hits in his freshman season.

Congrats to JR RHP/INF/OF Drew Horvath on being selected to the PCC All Conference team!

Drew was great on the mound and at the plate this spring. On the mound, he led the team in K’s, Wins, Starts, and WHIP. Drew struck out 56 in 44.1 IP while earning his 100th career strikeout. He finished with a 2.53 ERA and 1.29 WHIP. He also held a .972 OPS at the plate with 23 RBI and 26 runs.

Nice job Drew!!

Congrats to JR Cal Lemmons for being named to the PCC All Conference Team for the 2nd year in a row!

Cal had an excellent year behind the plate and at the dish for the Cherokees, leading the team in multiple categories. Cal threw out 7 baserunners and controlled a much improved pitching staff, while also slashing .409/.517/1.173 with 12 doubles, 4 triples, and a HR. Cal drove in 26 and scored 33 runs ‼️🔥

Congrats to SO 1B/LHP Noah Ladra for being named to the PCC All Conference Team!

Noah improved tremendously going into his SO year. At the plate, Noah held a .474 AVG in the PCC round robin. Overall, Noah held a .300 AVG, driving in 21 runs, scoring 17 runs. On the mound, Noah made 9 starts, striking out 55 in 39.2 IP despite pitching against 4 4A top 25 opponents, pitching to an ERA of 2.65 with a FB up to 83.

Congrats to Senior 2B Matthew Symer on being named to the PCC All Conference Team as a Honorable Mention.

The SR capped off an illustrious career with his best season yet, he was the poster child for durability, starting the last 84 games of his high school career all at 2nd Base for the Cherokees.

Matt collected 56 hits in his varsity career, increasing his batting average over .200 points from his SO year to his SR year! Matt also graduated Top 10 in the class and will do great things in the future at Purdue!!

#2 state ranked Varsity Cherokees fell in the Sectional 49 Quarterfinal to #1 ranked Kouts by a score of 6-2 on Friday afternoon in Westville, ending their season.

Thank you to our seniors Matt and Carter for all you did for this program. This team won 18 regular season games, the most since 2012, had the #1 SOS in 1A, held the highest state ranking in MT baseball history, finished 2nd in the PCC, highest since at least the 1990s, and won their first PCC tournament game since 2018.

We are proud of all of our players, and thankful to all parents, families, and fans that came out to support this spring.
