I’ve tournament fished for bass against the best in several states with many top tens and a couple firsts. I’ve tied five thousand flies a month, and put 300 days a year on the water for mul

And that concludes our yearly excursion on the Pyramid Lake Fishing Trip !! Brad Erickson took the whole enchilada and was his first trip ever to the lake!! Day 1 he landed the 7.8 pounder which took the win. Day two he landed the overall biggest of the trip in the same spot, on the same lure, at the same time, at 6 am!!!
Overall this year we had the best weather we could ever ask for, “T-shirt weather”!! Although it was amazing weather the bite wasn’t the best though. Each fisherman in our group were able to land 1-3 per day with 95% of the bites happening in the first and last hour of each day!!

Here’s a little inspiration if you needed that nudge to go to the Pyramid Lake Fishing Trip on Feb 26 - march 2!!…
This yearly trip for me started back in the 90’s. Over time it has evolved into a group of friends that have done this trip every year as a way to “get away from it all” and soak ourselves in this majestic place for a few days! We go in late February due to most of the big fish being in close to the banks and it allowing us to catch giants from the shore. It reminds me of the days at sailer bar, lined up 150 people in a row throwing beads for salmon. Not quite as many people of coarse but there’s something to say about the comrodery that’s obtained while standing with a group of like minded people just waiting for that next potential double digit to bite!!
❄️ This trip is NOT FOR THE FAINT OF HEART! If you do NOT like the cold, DO NOT COME. If you are a brave one, I suggest a “must bring” is:

-good waiters
-thermals
-foot warmers / hand warmers
-warm rain coat
-face mask
-neaprine gloves (glacier gloves)
-sunglasses

We will be camping at the end of pelican point and is where to meet to purchase your ticket for the “big fish” daily entry for Friday and Saturday. 👀 look for the big “HOOKD FLAG” flying. 💯 payout to biggest fish for each day! ($20/day/person) At the end of each day at 7 pm we will announce the winner and have a raffle for prizes for every person entered that day!! If you choose not to fish with our group but have entered you must have a video and pics of the fish on a scale that will be checked later. This will allow fish to be released. All fish entered MUST be caught from shore.

Today at Lake Camanche I had a group come out from Missouri to chase some trout. The day started off rather slow for us, slower than normal but got busier through the day. We had a total of 23 bites with 2 bass caught and released and a bunch of trout popping off right behind the boat.

The trout are definitely on the move out of the main body right now and spread out everywhere! The key is to move a lot of water. where you get bit, turn around a few times on that spot!!

HOOKD specials did the job again in the red/gold with Pro-Cure Bait Scents in the “rainbow trout” once again!!!

Yesterday I was blessed to have a crew fly out from Iowa to fish with me for a birthday trip!! 😎🤯🙌🏻… soooo we put in at Lake Camanche and went to chase a bunch of bites!! We had a total of 21 grabs throughout the day with some bass and trout that decided to play with the HOOKD special speedie shiners in the pickleball color as well as the sunrise copper with Pro-Cure Bait Scents in the “rainbow trout” scent!! The fish are getting shallower and on the move up now that the temps have came down to the mid 70’s.
