🏆🎣 THAT’S A WRAP ON THE 2026 FISH RIVER WALLEYE LEAGUE! 🎣🏆

What a season!

We officially wrapped up the 2026 FRWL season with our Championship on August 22nd, and we couldn’t have asked for a better way to finish the year. It was an awesome day on the water, followed by our Championship and League Season Awards.

A huge congratulations to all of this year’s winners! 👏

We also handed out plenty of random drawings, cash prizes and other awards throughout the Championship. We wanted the final day to be about more than just where you finished — it was about celebrating everyone who helped make this season what it was.

It all comes down to Saturday, August 22! We’re excited to wrap up a great season with the Fish River Walleye League Championship, and remember — THIS TOURNAMENT IS OPEN TO THE PUBLIC!

⏰ 7:00 AM – 3:00 PM

🏆 League season & championship awards will follow at Valley Glass in Valley City. We’ll have food and beverages provided, and EVERYONE IS WELCOME!

Bring your family, bring the kids, and come hang out with us as we celebrate the championship and another great season of the Fish River Walleye League.

🏆🎣 FISH RIVER WALLEYE LEAGUE CHAMPIONSHIP — THIS SATURDAY! 🎣🏆

The FRWL Championship is coming up THIS SATURDAY, AUGUST 22nd! After a great summer of league fishing, we’re excited to wrap up the season with one more fun day on the water!

⏰ 7:00 AM – 3:00 PM
📍 Takeoff in front of Bayshore Resort
🎣 OPEN TO THE PUBLIC!

We want to encourage families, youth, league anglers, and anyone who loves to fish to come out and join us. You don’t have to have fished league this year to enter the Championship — grab a partner, bring the family, and come enjoy a great day of walleye fishing!

💰 $150 entry per team + $10 FishDonkey app fee
🏆 Cash payouts, plaques for 1st–5th, and other prizes up for grabs!

Championship entry payment will be collected Saturday morning. Checks can be made payable to Barnes County Wildlife, and Venmo will also be accepted.

Following the tournament, we’ll head to Valley Glass in Valley City for our FRWL League Season & Championship Awards along with other prizes!

Week 7 is in the books, and that officially wraps up the 2026 Fish River Walleye League season!

The bite was a little slower Wednesday night, but a few teams were able to get into them and put some nice fish in the boat. Overall, it was a great night on the water and a great way to finish off an awesome season!

Tonight is Week 7 and the FINAL night of the Fish River Walleye League regular season!

It’s been a great season on the water, and we’re looking forward to one more night of competition before we turn our attention to the FRWL Championship! 🏆🎣

The Dakota Anglers Steak Fry will be held this Saturday, August 15th, 2026. Registration will be held from 7 to 8 am at Four Winds Sharpening, fishing begins at 8 am with weigh in at 3 pm at Parkhurst Campground. The tournament will be followed by potluck meal with the steak provided by the club. Everyone is welcome to attend and please bring a dish to pass! 🎣 Fish River Walleye League – Week 6 Recap

Week 6 is in the books!

While the bite was a little tougher than we’ve seen in previous weeks, it was hard to complain with the incredible weather. It was a beautiful evening to be out on the water, and as always, it was great seeing everyone enjoying another night of league.

This Wednesday is our FINAL regular season league night! We can’t wait to wrap up another great season with everyone before the Championship on August 22nd. More details about the championship will be shared soon, so stay tuned!

We’re set for another great evening on the water! With beautiful weather in the forecast, it’s shaping up to be a perfect night for chasing walleyes.

The competition has been outstanding all season, and every point counts as we head toward the finish. Tonight is Week 6, and after this we’ll have just one more regular season night before the FRWL Championship on August 22!

🏆 Big Walleye Wednesday Winners:
Congratulations to Reid & Darrin Nelson’s team for landing last week’s Big Walleye! What an incredible fish!

👏 Shoutout as well to Josh Holm and Dusty Nielsen’s team, who put an absolute beauty in the boat. Another outstanding walleye that shows just how good the fishing has been this season!

Thank you to everyone who came out and made Night 5 another success. We also want to thank Bayshore Resort for staying open after league so everyone could grab a great meal and spend some time together.
