**RULES MEETING**

Date: (Tomorrow) Wednesday May 27th
Time: 5pm/ Food
Location: 500 Wintershow Road SW Valley City
Come to the North side of the building there will be plenty of parking.

We ask if you are fishing league this year to come to the meeting. We will be going over everything you need to know about league and answering any questions. Thanks

For all attending we will be giving away a
**Scheels Outfitters One Limited Spinning Rod**
We will be throwing everyone’s name in a hat and drawing the winner during the meeting.

If you follow the National Walleye Tour, check out weigh in’s today (right now). This tournament is the same rules we will be doing for league this year. Looks like a great tournament and this is the biggest field of boats they’ve had in the NWT in 7 years. Also give a shoutout to Jayden Wendel he is fishing the entire Tour this year!

Reminder that the rules meeting will be next Wednesday, May 27th. Social and food will start at 5pm and meeting to start at 6pm. It will be held at Valley Glass - 500 Wintershow Road SW, Valley City ND 58072. Come to the North side of building. We encourage everyone who plans to fish it to join us!

One person per team should register in the app. That person will be the designated person to enter fish for the team. If both people want to enter fish, or to have a backup phone, follow the instructions on the attached Tip Sheet.

We have listened to feedback and appreciate everyone’s input. With that in mind we made the necessary changes.

Some updates on our upcoming season!
New for 2026
- we are going to all be taking off at 5:30 from the same area. It will be around the bayshore area (pre fish is still fine but need to be at the take off area before 5:30pm on league night)
- we added a few extra nights than last year and by doing so, we are going to take your top 4 bags of each night for total end of the year points.
- Also adding in a slot limit. Two fish can be over 20 inches and three fish can be 20 inches and under. (A bag of 5 can be all unders - only 2 can be over 20”) You may keep upgrading your fish through the night and we will take your biggest bag with these limitations.

Those are the biggest changes to this year’s season. We are trying to work with every angler while making it competitive. By doing these changes allows everyone to have a chance for team of the year. We want to grow this league with competitive anglers, kids and their families, and the average weekend warrior. We feel like these changes give everyone a chance!

!!Reminder that the rules meeting will be held at Valley Glass on May 27th!! We encourage all anglers or a team member to be present. These changes will be gone through along with every other detail for league. Sign up will be available as well.

- We want to promote the BCWL Walleye Tournament held on June 13th and 14th on Ashtabula. Make sure to get entered!

- Also Dakota Anglers Walleye Tournament is held on June 6th and 7th at Pipestone Reservoir. A fun one to get into!

What a great first year! We want to thank all the anglers who participated and made this season special. We hope to grow this thing and continue to make the appropriate steps to make it fun for everyone again next year!

With that said, we have to congratulate the winners! Through 5 league nights, we took everyone’s top 3 bags.

TEAM OF THE YEAR!! Went to the Nelson’s. Darren and Reid Nelson were on top all season catching giant fish getting them to the top with a check for $1280. Congratulations guys!

2nd place goes to Jerry Ryerson and Tyler Kosse getting them an award for $768!

3rd place went to team Josh Holm and Dusty Nielsen with a check for $512!

4th went to Luke Maxwell and Calvin Clasen
5th place goes to Adam Brandvold and Tanner Hambek!

Awesome job teams and congratulations!

Last Saturday we held a one day shootout! Teams battled the wind, but some found success!

Our Champions - with a check for $440 were Calvin Clasen and Luke Maxwell!

2nd place goes to Josh Holm and Dusty Nielsen with a check for $275 and also capturing the Big fish award for another $100!

3rd place for the Wegner Brothers! Cody and Brandon Wegner got a good bag with a check for $220!

4th place goes to Don Wieker, Michael Schmidt and Blake Schmidt with a check for $110. Congrats guys!

And 5th place for the shootout went to Steve and Levi Robertsdahl for a $55 reward!

This league wouldn’t of been possible without help from a few guys and our sponsors. Tanner Hambek, Braden Wenaas, Jonah Wolla and Adam Brandvold really put some time, money and hard work to get this thing going. Thanks guys!

Last reminder:

Please shoot an email to [email protected] if you are planning to fish tomorrow

Registration will begin at 7am at the west crossing ramp. You will get your bump board if you haven’t already. Pay if you haven’t already and get your boat number for take off. If you are coming from a different part of the lake, swing by the dock and we will get you your stuff.

Single file start will begin at 8am. Look at the map posted earlier this week for more details.

We will fish from 8am to 3pm using the fishdonkey app. It’s on you to make sure you have everything ready.

Awards and get together will be at the eagles in Valley City after the tournament ends!
